Hansika's comes as main role and appearance was new too.

Vinay a s a namesake hero in it.

Sundar C comes as Andrea's bro - Just for making a heroism.

Bharathwaj music very bad.

Santhanam,- LoL - But nothing new on it.

Kovai Sarala, Swaminathan, Mano Bala - Comes for fun's.

Flashback story for Hansika' - Normal one - Nothing new on it.

Story is quite predictable / Too draggy Verdict: Old story in a new tread - But fail to impress

Saw an awesome comedy/horror movie( they said it was Horror too :P) "Aranmanai" starring Vinay Rai, Rai Lakshmi, Hansika Motwani, Andrea Jeremiah, Sundar C and Counter King Santhaanam. The movie was a laugh riot from start to end( except one or two "horror" scenes :p) . The songs were a drag though(except "Petromax Lightu Than Venuma" song). Apart from that everything was just awesome, you can watch it with friends or family too. It was a total entertainer from Sundar C and Counter King Santhaanam throws in a lot of good counters in this one too. If you watch it with friends in a theater, you'll have a great time. I would definitely rate it a 3.5 on 5. Definitely worth a watch.

This movie copies several scenes of famous movies like insidious & women in black etc.

so i consider this movie as a bad.

A copy of famous English horror movies.

most of the scary scenes are from other movies, especially from The Women in Black.

I Strongly recommend people to watch Insidious & Women in Black, to see the copied scenes.

Although the movie is not at all scary.

The film Aranmanai is a Tamil-language horror drama, directed by Sundar C, who also plays the lead role.

The narrative unfolds within the confines of a palace, once the abode of a sizeable family. In pursuit of financial gain, the family has returned to the palace after a considerable interval. Upon their return, they become aware of an otherworldly force that permeates the premises. Ravi, the film's protagonist, seeks to ascertain the source of this supernatural power, a quest that ultimately uncovers a trove of hitherto concealed truths.

It is this author's opinion that the film is not recommended for viewing. It is, in fact, a complete waste of time. While there are some elements of the story that are engaging, the manner in which the story is told is unconventional and the visual settings are peculiar. Furthermore, the songs are poorly executed and there is a lack of logical coherence in the film. Some characters are merely used as a means of displaying the actress' bodies.

Furthermore, the director attempted to integrate comedic elements with the involvement of actors such as Manobala and Kovai Sarala, which ultimately proved ineffective.

I watched this yesterday. I have always thought that Sunder C's comedies are underrated. Well, this movie deserves to be rated low.

I watched with 2 of my friends, and usually, after we watch a movie, we will have at least few minutes of debating on some scenes. As for this movie, nothing worthy came up for discussion.

Don't compare this movie with Kancana or Arundhati.

There are many silly laughs and common scare techniques.

To many characters each having small roles which you don't care about.

If you look past expectations of good story and good acting, this movie is just OK.
