After debuting Civil War at SXSW, writer-director Alex Garland and stars Kirsten Dunst, Wagner Moura, Cailee Spaeny, Jesse Plemons and Nick Offerman screened the film in Los Angeles on Tuesday.

Ripley premiere

Andrew Scott and Dakota Fanning joined creator Steven Zaillian at the Los Angeles premiere of their new Netflix series on Wednesday.

Exclusive: Ziwe is returning to Showtime for the second half of her second season and has set her guest list.

The late-night series returns to the premium cable network in November with six new episodes. The first six episodes of season two premiered in May.

Drew Barrymore and Julia Fox are among the guests, who also include Michael Che, Amber Riley, Blake Griffin, Joel Kim Booster, Bob The Drag Queen, DeRay Mckesson and Wayne Brady.

The 2022 comedy lineup for the Life is Beautiful Festival has been revealed.

Among the stars joining The Kicker comedy lineup at the three-day Las Vegas music, art, culinary and comedy festival are Hacks stars Hanna Einbinder and Megan Stalter, Fire Island star and writer Joel Kim Booster, comedy trio Butterboy with Jo Firestone, Aparna Nancherla, and Maeve Higgins.

Less than two months after launching its flagship series Vice Live, Viceland has decided to cancel the program, Deadline confirmed Monday.

Vice Live, a two-hour variety special that aired four nights a week, premiered on February 25.

“For the past two months, Vice Live has been doing it live from our Brooklyn HQ four nights a week with an unpredictable, beautifully crazy show that has showcased the best of Vice and shined a light on some of the hottest emerging talent in the worlds of comedy, music, television, and food,” read a memo from Viceland President Guy Slattery. “Looking ahead, we’ll be breaking out some of the most popular talent and formats from Live.”

The memo went on to thank the production team behind the show.

After a month and a half, Viceland is pulling the plug on “Vice Live,” its weeknight live show, due to low ratings.

“Vice Live” aired Monday through Thursday from Vice’s Brooklyn headquarters, originally launching as a two-hour nightly showcase of all things Vice. Viceland later cut the show to one hour a night, but “Vice Live” never managed to catch on in pop culture. The show premiered on Feb. 25 to just 77,000 viewers, making it one of cable’s least-watched shows in primetime.

The final episode of “Vice Live” aired last Thursday. Viceland president Guy Slattery announced the cancellation to staffers on Monday. A spokesperson referred Variety to an internal memo sent by Slattery.

Viceland is going live in primetime next month with Vice Live, a two-hour variety special that will air four nights a week, Monday through Thursday, starting Monday, February 25 at 9 Pm.

Vice Live will broadcast live out of Vice’s Brooklyn headquarters, covering the day’s hottest topics and trends, led by rising comedian/actress Marie Faustin, writer/comedian/internet provocateur Zack Fox, comedian/director/photographer Sandy Honig, and rapper/host Fat Tony.

The show itself will continually be experimenting and evolving in real-time, according to Viceland. Any given episode could feature comedy pieces, celebrity visits, short-form videos, and field pieces and check-in’s from Vice’s outposts across the globe. Social media also will be a key part of Vice Live as viewers interact with the show in real-time.

Vice Live fills the void left by Desus & Mero, which formerly aired nightly on Viceland, following the hosts’ move to Showtime.

Viceland is shaking up its primetime with “Vice Live,” a two-hour variety/talk show slated to air live four nights per week starting next month.

“Vice Live” will air Mondays through Thursdays from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. Et, starting Feb. 25, and reps Viceland’s most ambitious programming initiative to date.

Comedy Central has announced the lineups for its January Stand-Up Month, including four new one-hour specials, and talent for a new digital series of half-hour specials under two different banners.

The January Stand-Up Month will feature new specials from Ron Funches, James Davis (Hood Adjacent with James Davis), Chris Distefano and Roy Wood Jr.. The specials will air consecutive Fridays throughout the month at 11 Pm Et/Pt.

In addition, Comedy Central’s digital series Comedy Central Stand-Up Featuring will premiere January 8 on YouTube, Facebook Watch, Twitter and Instagram. The series will spotlight a new up-and-coming comedian on Tuesday and Thursday each week.
