‘The Wrong Todd’ Clip: The Evil Twin Sci-Fi Romantic Comedy You’ve Been Waiting For
Exclusive: In Rob Schulbaum’s (Family Guy) directorial debut, The Wrong Todd, the titular Todd (Jesse Rosen) finds out that his girlfriend Lucy (Anna Rizzo) has been offered a promotion on the other side of the country and he has to decide whether or not he will go. Before he can make his decision his evil twin comes to stir things up in his life.

As seen in the exclusive clip below, Todd is in some sort of parallel universe contraption and the Technician (Derek K. Moore) is doing something to help Todd go through interdimensional travel — all while eating a Hot Pocket. The context of the clip is beyond me, but who doesn’t love a movie about an evil twin that is running amok?

If you need more context, the trailer below can unpack the movie for you. The movie finds Todd’s evil twin from a parallel...

Horror Channel FrightFest’s short film line-up announced
With twenty-six films over three days, including ten World, four European and seven UK premieres, Horror Channel FrightFest’s short film showcase unleashes this year’s eclectic mix of the bold, brave, bloody and barmy with films programmed to entertain, frighten, enlighten and simply amaze.

From the press release:

There are twelve films from the United Kingdom, forming the centerpiece of this year’s line-up. These include James Moran’s Blood Shed, starring Shaun Dooley and Sally Phillips, where a man’s love of his garden shed takes a rather murderous turn. In Judgement, Neil Maskell stars as a single man looking for love in all the wrong places and Laurence R. Harvey shines as a mutated children’s’ toy in Teddy Bear’S Picnic. Then there’s Katie Bonham’s Mab, about a girl who turns to witchcraft to teach someone a lesson.

The other home-grown offerings see people...

‘American Poltergeist’ DVD Review
Stars: Tony Moran, Christopher P. O’Reilly, Nicole Lasala, Dan Liebman, Jami Tennille, Sean Carmichael, Kati Salowsky, Camille Farnan, Michaelah Noelle Nunes, Charles Everett Tacker, Jeanne Lohnes | Written and Directed by Jordan Pacheco

A group of budding paranormal investigators decide to taunt spirits of the dead in a haunted house in an attempt to video an encounter with a real poltergeist. They get more than they bargained for when they awaken an angry evil force that follows them home, hungry not only for their souls, but also those of their loved ones.

Paranormal investigators… where would the direct to DVD market be without them these days? It seems each and every month we get another film fearuring a bunch of wanna-be ghost hunters going head-to-head with something or nothing. This time round we get people that provoke the undead in the hopes of hitting it big. Which is about as stupid as it sounds!

Short Film, Short Review: For A Good Time, Call...
What on Earth makes a man film a sex tape on a hidden camera, and post it on the Internet for all to see? Pride? Vanity? Stupidity? In Izzy Lee's short film For a Good Time, Call... you don't get the answer to that question. What you do get to see is such a scumbag, called Alex, who gets his comeuppance after being cursed by his victim. Alex (Sean Carmichael) tries to trivialize what happened, and doesn't understand why his victim is so upset with him. Then he spots a woman walking alone into some woods and decides to follow her... with interesting results. At eleven minutes, don't expect too much backstory or character development here, though Diana Porter does manage to bring a lot...
