Last month, JoBlo Media and Octane Multimedia teamed up to launch a new YouTube channel named JoBlo TV, which hosts multiple feature films to watch for free throughout the week. The genres we’ll be focusing on at JoBlo TV are Action, Horror, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, and Thrillers – but for the month of October, we’re celebrating Halloween all month long with our JoBlotober event. It’s all horror all the time!

The movies that have been released on JoBlo TV over the last week are the creepy clown movie Clowntergeist, the vampire movie Bite Night, and the supernatural horror film Curse of the Nun – and you can tell from the title what sort of supernatural threat that one deals with.

With the iconic Hollywood sign at sunset as a backdrop, two of the stars of “Westside,” Netflix’s first music reality series (arriving November 9) — and arguably its most experimental and ambitious show to date — describe their real lives as aspiring stars. Meta enough?

“What I love about ‘Westside’ is that it’s the first of its kind,” says Pia Toscano, who may be the most recognizable cast member, having placed ninth on season 10 of “American Idol.” “I’m finally able to tell my story and peel back those layers and write and collaborate with other incredible artists [on the show]. But we weren’t competing with each other, so there was this camaraderie — we became a tight-knit family. We really grew and learned from each other. It wasn’t like: Who’s going to win this week? Westside offers an unscripted and deeply personal glimpse into the journeys of nine young L.A.-based musicians as they follow their dreams. Each episode sheds light on their creative processes and personal struggles, interspersing cinema verité-style documentary footage with beautifully produced music videos featuring original songs.

Cameras capture the nine musicians as they develop an ensemble performance for a potential live showcase at an L.A. nightclub, but also follow each of them in their daily routine of multiple jobs, dwindling bank accounts and long-distance love. Netflix has released the trailer for “Westside,“ a new unscripted series that looks into the journeys of nine L.A. musicians as they struggle to follow their dreams. Debuting on Nov. 9, each episode features original songs and music videos. Cast members include Sean Patrick Murray, Pia Toscano, James Byous, Arika Gluck, Austin Kolbe, Caitlin Ary, Leo Gallo, Alexandra Krekorian, and Taz Zavala. Assisting them along the way are a few industry giants, including music producer Philip Lawrence, acting coach Susan Batson, and music director Keith Harrison.

Emma (Brittany Belland) is a college student who suffers from coulrophobia (fear of clowns) to the extent that even a clown picture on a T-shirt or a clown themed ice lolly in the ice cream shop which she works, strikes fear into her. If suffering mercilessly with a crippling fear of clowns wasn’t bad enough, things soon get worse when she realises that a possessed killer called Ribcage the Clown is on a killing spree throughout the town.
