Melody Djavadi oversees sales efforts at festival.

Los Angeles-based Shoreline Entertainment arrives in Toronto with worldwide sales rights to comedy The Enormity Of Life starring Breckin Meyer and Emily Kinney.

Meyer plays a man who receives a substantial inheritance from a long-lost relative and meets a struggling single mother (Kinney) with an eccentric young daughter (Giselle Eisenberg). Together they embark on a journey of self-discovery.

Eric Swinderman directed and co-wrote The Enormity Of Life with Carmen DeFranco.

Shoreline Entertainment vice-president of acquisitions Melody Djavadi announced the project and oversees sales efforts.

Shoreline Entertainment has picked up worldwide sales on Us-Spain psychological thriller The Chain starring Ray Wise from Twin Peaks.

David Martin-Porras directs the story of a man who enlists the services of an assisted suicide company but discovers in order to take part he must kill someone first.

John Patrick Amedori, Madeline Zima, Jamie Clayton, and Adrienne Barbeau round out the key cast.

Production companies are La Panda Producciones Audiovisuales, Kamel Films, Malvalanda, SinPuerto Producciones, Travieso Dreams, Gibmaric Entertainment and Pony Films.

Shoreline Entertainment to screen 'The Best People' at Efm (exclusive)
Comedy tells of woman who attempts to stop younger sister’s marriage.

Shoreline Entertainment has been deep in talks with Efm buyers on The Best People in Berlin, one of the new titles on its sales slate that screens on Tuesday.

Dan Levy Dagerman directed and Selina Ringel wrote and produced the comedy about a women recovering from a breakdown.

When she hears her younger sister has got engaged, the woman teams up with the best man to break up the happy couple and end their engagement, convinced she is preventing them from a lifetime of misery.

Elle Evans, Angelica Chitwood and Bianca A. Santos star inThe Best People, which screens today (Tuesday) in the market.

Melody Djavadi of Shoreline Entertainment negotiated the deal with Ringel and Dagerman of Two Hands Productions.

Exclusive: Thomas Hennessy to direct Another Time.

Morris Ruskin’s Los Angeles-based Shoreline Entertainment has boarded worldwide rights heading into Cannes on time-travel romance Another Time.

The story centres on a man who falls for a woman who is already engaged. With the help of a disgraced scientist he travels on a journey back in time before she meets her fiancé.

Justin Hartley, one of the stars on NBC show This Is Us who will star in Bad Moms Christimas, stars with Arielle Kebbel, Chrishell Stause and James Kyson.

Thomas Hennessy directs from a screenplay he co-wrote with Scott Kennard.

“We are excited to represent this film and are eager to share it with audiences all over the world,” Ruskin said.

Shoreline’s Melody Djavadi negotiated the deal with producer Alan Pietruszewski.

The company will also be tempting buyers in the Croisette with worldwide rights to crime drama The White Orchid.

Exclusive: Bogart Estate managers serve as executive producers on Cannes-bound drama.

Shoreline Entertainment heads to the Croisette with worldwide rights to Olivia Thirlby drama The White Orchid.

John Carroll Lynch and Jennifer Beals also star in the story of a shy social services investigator in California who is assigned to a local law enforcement officer to solve the murder of a mysterious blonde.

Steve Anderson wrote and directed The White Orchid for the Humphrey Bogart Estate’s Santana Films production company.

Bogart Estate managers Robbert de Klerk and Stephen Bogart, the son of Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall, serve as executive producers.

Shoreline Entertainment has reported it picked up worldwide rights in Berlin to Pushing Dead.

Sundance Lab veteran Tom E. Brown directed the film, about a writer and HIV-positive man who struggles to pay for his medications after he is dropped from his health plan.

James Roday, Danny Glover, and Robin Weigert star in the film.

“Pushing Dead is a very special film with an extremely timely subject matter,” Shoreline CEO Morris Ruskin said.

“We are excited and eager to share the film with audiences around the world.”

Morris Ruskin’s Los Angeles-based sales company will introduce Bad Kids Of Crestview Academy to international buyers once the market gets underway next week.

eOne has set a Us theatrical and VOD launch for January 13, 2017, on the sequel to 2012’s Bad Kids Go To Hell.

Ben Browder directs the graphic novel adaptation about a group of students in detention on school grounds who fall victim to a series of mysterious accidents.

“I’m as thrilled for us to represent Bad Kids as I was to watch it,” said Shoreline Entertainment CEO Ruskin. “It’s a particularly well-made film that never forgets to be fun, and we’re eager to play a part in its entertainment of audiences around the world.”

Lance Kawas directed the story of a woman who partners with a police officer to avenge her sister’s death after she is seduced by a sex trafficker.

Exclusive: Hugh Sullivan’s debut feature world premieres at next month’s SXSW.

Shoreline Entertainment has bulked up its Efm slate with Australian selection The Infinite Man, set to receive its world premiere at SXSW next month.

Hugh Sullivan’s feature directorial debut is a time-travel rom-com about a man whose attempts to construct the perfect romantic weekend backfire when he traps his lover in an eternal loop.

Josh McConville, Hannah Marshall and Alex Dimitriades star.

Kate Croser and Sandy Cameron of South Australia-based Hedone Productions produced the SXSW Visions selection.

The film is produced in association with Bonsai Films, with investment from the South Australia Film Corporation through its FilmLab funding initiative. Development assistance comes from Screen Australia.

Exclusive: Shoreline Entertainment has acquired world sales rights heading into Berlin to Pardon starring John Hawkes and Jamie King.

Tom Anton directed the drama that also starsn Jason Lewis and co-wrote the screenplay with Sandi Russell.

Pardon takes place against the backdrop of the glamorous 1940s as the nation is gripped by the trial of the only woman ever sentenced to die by electric chair in Louisiana.

Shoreline Entertainment Acquires World Rights to The Dark Place
Shoreline Entertainment, the Los Angeles-based production and sales company, has picked up world sales rights to wine-country mystery-thriller, The Dark Place, from Blue Seraph Productions.

Jody Wheeler (Heat Wave, In the Closet) directed the story, with J.T. Tepnapa (Judas Kiss), from Wheeler’s own screenplay, with Carlos Pedraza producing.

The film focuses on Keegan Dark, a troubled young man cursed with the uncanny ability to remember his life in videographic detail. He returns to his family’s wine estate, boyfriend in tow, to make amends with his estranged mother, only to discover a conspiracy that frames him for murder and threatens his family’s lives and livelihood.

Pictured: After a near-fatal mishap, Keegan Dark (Blaise Embry) is examined by a doctor (Andy Copeland) who may not have Keegan’s best interests at heart.
