Glenn Weiss and Ricky Kirshner of White Cherry Entertainment will be back for their third year as executive producing showrunners for the 83rd Golden Globes, the Globes and CBS announced Friday.

Submissions are now open for the 2026 Golden Globe awards, which will air live on Sunday, January 11, 2026 at 8 Pm/Et/5 Pm Pet on CBS and streaming on Paramount+ in the U.S.

As previously announced, Nikki Glaser, who received rave reviews as host of last year’s Globes, also will return as host for the 2026 awards shindig at the Beverly Hilton.

The organization, which runs the Grammy awards, extended invitations to nearly 3,600 industry members, all of whom — upon accepting the invite — will be able to vote in the awards.

The timeline for the 83rd annual Golden Globes has been released by awards owner and producer Dick Clark Productions, with the deadline for film and TV submissions set at October 31.

As previously announced, the 83rd Golden Globes ceremony will take place on January 11, 2026 at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles, with comedian and actress Nikki Glaser hosting. The ceremony will be aired by CBS and streamed on Paramount+ in the US.

Key dates in the 2026 Globes timeline are as follows:

August 1, 2025: Submission website opens for motion picture and television entries.

The Golden Globes has set its 2026 awards timeline and eligibility rules for its new Best Podcast category.

Submissions for film and TV will open on Aug. 1, while submissions for podcasts will open Oct. 1. Both of their deadlines is Oct. 31. Nominations voting for TV and podcasts will run from Nov. 17 to Nov. 24. The film voting window runs from Nov. 25 through Dec. 4. As previously announced, nominations will be unveiled on Dec. 8. Winner voting goes from Dec. 19 through Jan. 3.

In March, the Globes announced a new podcast category, with six nominees to be named from the 25 most popular podcasts. On Wednesday, the Globes announced that Luminate, an entertainment data and analytics company, will determine the qualifying podcasts "using a proprietary methodology designed to objectively evaluate podcasts." The feature is billed as a Sliding Doors-style comedy, inspired by the future-predicting storytelling game from grade school. The Mash game starts off with a player literally writing out the letters ‘M-a-s-h’ to predict whether one will live in a mansion, apartment, shack, or house. Categories are then picked based on what you want in your future or story: a spouse, kids, car, pets, etc. Options are crossed off or circled under each category using a magic number, yielding your final resolution in life.
