Glen Douglas
- Douglas was taken from his family in a cattle truck that went from house to house collecting Aboriginal Canadian boys and girls when he was twelve years old. Royal Canadian Mounted Police were present when he was taken from his home and sent to the Kootenay Residential School in Cranbrook, British Columbia.
- Douglas was sent to live and work on his uncle's ranch near Oroville, Washington when he was fourteen years old. Three years later, he determined to join the United States Army. His uncle came with him to the draft board in Okanogan, Washington. He reported to Fort Lewis, Washington in May 1944.
