Biographie

Jahmela is the Co-Founder of the Nia Project, a performing arts program for under-served youth in San-Francisco.

She was one of four American actors selected in 2008 to train and perform at the Primo Del Teatro in San Minato, Italy. She has studied and performed in London, Paris, Amsterdam, Rome, Pisa, Siena, San Minato, Madrid and Barcelona.

Received her BA in Drama from Spelman College and her MFA in Acting from the American Conservatory Theater.

Her younger brother is Jelani Biggs.

She studied dance at the Artistic School of the Performing Arts and has been teaching dance at studios and schools in various parts of the country since she was 15 years old.
