Let’s see what went down, starting with two Countdown to Turning Point matches that saw Grado & Rhino defeat Ryan Richards & Mike D; and Leon Slater defeat Mark Haskins to retain the North Wrestling Championship…

Match #1: Josh Alexander & Eric Young def. Subculture (Mark Andrews & Flash Morgan Webster) The following is courtesy of impactwrestling.com:

Alexander and Young work together in the early going to assert their power over Andrews and Webster. Andrews targets Alexander’s left knee to gain the momentary advantage. Alexander begins to wear Webster down with a belly-to-back suplex as he and Young employ quick tags. Webster evades Young, sending him crashing into the steel ring post. The separation allows Webster to tag in Andrews.

A back-and-forth battle between master technicians ended with Haskins forcing Shelley to submit to the Sharpshooter. Haskins looks to be at the absolute top of his game heading into his Triple Threat Match for the Roh World Title against champion Pco and Rush at Gateway To Honor on Feb. 29 in St. Louis.

My Opinion: 3.7 out of 5 – This was…I don’t remember the old score I gave it. Did I rate it already? Aw hell…in any case,...

Welcome to this review of Ring Of Honor: Honor United 2019 – Bolton, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have the final of three shows, with this one hailing from Bolton. Army of Darkness had a more depressing ending before the “S-Mart” ending. I slept too long! Okay, let’s see if this show can balance out a tour that had one great and one decent show to its record.

Match #1: Joe Hendry defeated Silas Young (Disqualification)

My Opinion: 1.7 out of 5 – What a waste of two talented people. I get that this was just a set-up for another match, but wasting a booking is some-thing that shouldn’t be done lightly.

Match #2: Joe Hendry and Dalton Castle defeated Silas Young and Rampage Brown

My Opinion: 2.4 out of 5 – Why not just have this be the only match to start the show and have a twelve or thirteen...

Match #1: Villain Enterprises (Marty Scurll and Flip Gordon) defeated Tracy Williams and Flamita

My Opinion: 3.5 out of 5 – Fortunately, this show did start off with a lovely match. I used lovely. I can do that. Suck it, Donald Trump. This was a fantastic way to start the show, as it was a longer match with plenty of action that was properly paced and fought with heart and passion. The sucking hasn’t quite started, yet.

Less than two minutes into the match, Pco suffered a malfunction that caused him to deliver a suicide dive on the opposite side of where his intended targets were. He landed face first on the floor and came up dazed and bleeding profusely from a deep gash above his right eye. The “not human” Pco refused medical attention and continued the match. The two teams battled back and forth, exchanging one hard-hitting move after another. Williams hit an assisted piledriver on King, but Pco made the save. Haskins...

My Opinion: 1.5 out of 5 – The Briscoes did fine here, but this just wasn’t much of a match. Going around ten minutes, this felt like a bowling ball landing on your foot and only hurting half as much as you thought it would. The Bouncers leave a lot to be desired, but they do have ability, so seeing them falter is unfortunate. I bet if this had happened in a bar this would have been a fun one,...

Match #1: Dragon Lee defeated Jonathan Gresham

My Opinion: 4.5 out of 5 – This was a vicious match that gave Gresham a chance to go even farther heel than he has before. This felt like a New Japan match shot full of adrenaline while going 90 on the highway. This is another great pairing that could draw any-where, thanks to performances like the one here. The wrestling here was off the charts and is proof that all you need in wrestling is the ability to have a great match to make a mark.

Match #2: The Bouncers defeated Soldiers of Savagery and Coast 2 Coast

My Opinion: 2 out of 5 – This was a pretty lame match that felt...

I’m Nathan Favel and right here on Nerdly, we have one of the biggest events in wrestling history to discuss, so let’s do so.

Match #1: The 30-Man Honor Rambo: Winner – Kenny King

My Opinion: 3 out of 5 – This was less about great wrestling and more about big surprises. The action was of a certain quality, which should neither condone nor condemn the match itself. In what may have set the precedent for the card, the Japanese wrestlers were the best thing here. Overall, this match got the crowd excited, which is just fine.

Match #2: Ring Of Honor World Television Champion Jeff Cobb (New Champion) defeated (New Japan Pro Wrestling) International Wrestling Grand Prix Never Open-Weight Champion...

Curt Hawkins Redemption (WWE) – Curt cut a fine promo about wanting to become a great champion, starting with Zack Ryder and going from there. The idea is he knows he’s a loser and wants to change all of that. This felt very genuine and when you can tap into some-thing like that, you really have some-thing great to share with people.
