As many Harry Potter fans boycott the new HBO series over J.K. Rowling‘s aggressive anti-transgender stance, the author is getting her loyalists hyped for the show.

With the latest adaptation of her novels beginning production this summer and premiering in 2026, Rowling teased the first two episodes for her followers after she “worked closely” with the writers’ room of the Warner Bros. Discovery series.

“I read the first two episodes of the forthcoming HBO Harry Potter series and they are So, So, So Good!” she wrote on X.

When asked if she’s writing the series, Rowling clarified in a reply, “No, but I’ve worked closely with the extremely talented writers.”

HBO Chairman and CEO Casey Bloys previously addressed Rowling’s ongoing anti-transgender rhetoric and how it will impact the TV adaptation of her seven-book fantasy novel series.

More casting news has been revealed for HBO's upcoming TV series based on Harry Potter. After many major character castings were previously announced, the latest addition has divulged who will be portraying the new Cornelius Fudge.

Per Deadline, acclaimed actor Bertie Carvel has been tapped to play Minster of Magic Cornelius Fudge in the Harry Potter reboot. It is expected that Cornelius Fudge will appear in a recurring role in the show's first season. The role was previously played by Robert Hardy in the original Harry Potter movie series, with the actor appearing in four separate installments. As of now, HBO will not officially confirm the report, which could be a sign that Carvel's deal has not been completely finalized just yet.

Unlike previous mainline entries in the series, it appears that Halo 5: Guardians will not carry an “M for Mature” rating when it launches later this year. In a surprising move, the Esrb has decided to grant the title a “T for Teen” instead.

Outside of the strategy-based Halo Wars and top-down shooters Halo: Spartan Assault and Halo: Spartan Strike, the franchise has always been stuck with Mature ratings. If this Teen rating sticks, it would certainly be a shocker for long time fans of the franchise. The epic battles waged by Master Chief have always been violent affairs, and this go-around appeared to be no different.
