As a child actor appeared in the same British television show as Anthony Hopkins, who advised him to work hard and attempt to study at the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, which he managed to do. Less than ten years later he was honored to act with Anthony Hopkins again, in Le Silence des agneaux (1991). Three other actors that he's pals or appeared in movies with, who also studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art are: Peter O'Toole also Roger Moore and Timothy Dalton.
[on his retirement from film and television acting] As far as my own acting is concerned, it's been commercials and voiceover work since Japan (2008). It's the same old shit. I'm driving the car. I've been in so many car commercials. There's nothing special about it.
