Her father is retired Major League Baseball player, Brett Butler. He played for 5 teams over his 17 year career including, the Atlanta Braves, the Cleveland Indians, the San Francisco Giants, the New York Mets and the Los Angeles Dodgers (1980-1997). Stefanie is writing his life story into a film and hopes to one day direct it.

Her sister Abbi Butler is also an actress and a singer/songwriter who resides in Nashville, TN (2016).

Stefanie often writes films and television shows based on real life people and real life stories.

My dad has always said, "Preparation meets opportunity. Your job is to do the hard work so that when the opportunity presents itself, you are prepared to take it head on," so that's what I try to do.

My dad told me, "Believe in yourself. If you don't believe in yourself, no one else will." I think that was true for him - he needed that to push him to believe he could do anything he put his mind to.
