Ronnie Drew
- Member of legendary Irish folk group, 'The Dubliners'.
- Father of actor Phelim Drew.
- Once when showing Billy Connolly around Dublin, he said he knew everyone in town. Billy expressed surprise and disbelief saying it was impossible. Ronnie then turned to someone passing by on that street and said "Howya head?". To Billy's surprise the gentleman turned and said "howya Ronnie, how's things with yourself" and proceeded to get into a long conversation with Ronnie.

- Just finished 40th anniversary tour with The Dubliners. (décembre 2002)
- In Irvine Welsh's story "The Granton Star Cause" (published in his anthology "The Acid House"), the Irish-Scots narrator meets God in a pub and sees Him as he's always imagined Him, with a white beard like "the boy in the Dubliners". In the film Acid House (1998), Maurice Roëves plays God, complete with white beard.
