Kangta in I Am (2012)

This music documentary follows the artists of SMTOWN as they prepare for their live performance at one of the worldÂ’s most prestigious concert venues: Madison Square Garden in New York. Though the unprecedented in South Korea documentary-concert film focuses on the live concert, the movie also sheds light on the performers who are living their dream and what defines them as people. Ultimately the movie is a touching coming-of-age story about the growing pains and glory of the young artists. Juxtaposed against popular images of frivolous teen stars, the movie aims to illustrate the hardships the performers endureÂ—from auditions to the training periodÂ—to get on stage and perform for just 4 minutes. I AM: SMTOWN LIVE WORLD TOUR in Madison Square Garden touchingly embodies youth and the evolution of the performers.

Early 2006, Kangta collaborated with Vanness Wu of F4 from Taiwan, and formed Kangta & Vanness. Their first debut was in Thailand ending the ceremony for the 2006 MTV Asia Awards. They released their single "Scandal" and have been busy promoting their single all over Asia. "Scandal" was a success over Asia and released a repackage version in mid-July.
