Abu Dhabi, Nov 1 (Ians/GloFans) Royal Challengers Bangalore (Rcb) face off against Delhi Capitals (DC) to ensure a top two finish at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in their last league match here on Monday.
The two sides have 14 points each with Rcb placed second due to their superior net run rate (Nrr).
The winner will comfortably seal a playoff berth. However, it will not be the end of the road for the loser in technical terms, as the other permutations and combinations could push them through.
DC have suffered four defeats on the trot and have looked out of sorts in the latter half of season.
Their top order consisting of Prithvi Shaw or Ajinkya Rahane, Shikhar Dhawan and Iyer has failed to lay the foundation of a massive total.
The middle order led by Rishabh Pant and Shimron Hetmyer have struggled to handle the extra pressure that comes on...

Dubai, Oct 26 (Ians/GloFans) After two consecutive defeats, against Punjab and Kolkata respectively, Delhi Capitals (DC) will aim to put their campaign back on track when they face a struggling SunRisers Hyderabad (Srh) here on Tuesday.
The last time the two sides squared-off in the season, the David Warner-led Srh came out victorious by 15 runs. However, Srh's campaign derailed afterwards while the Shreyas Iyer-led DC fired collectively to come close to qualifying for the playoffs. Another win would further strengthen DC's position at the top of the points table.
The DC top-order has succumbed under pressure in the recent past, except Shikhar Dhawan, but he too failed against Kolkata. The same was the issue with Ajinkya Rahane, who was promoted to open the innings in absence of Prithvi Shaw.
Iyer has been in good form but the lower middle-order, comprising Rishabh Pant and Shimron Hetmyer, has struggled after making a comeback.

Dubai, Oct 14 (Ians) Australian wicketkeeper batsman Alex Carey believes it is time for the Delhi Capitals to 'almost start the tournament again' as they play the second round of Ipl 2020 matches starting Wednesday evening when they take on the Rajasthan Royals.
Speaking ahead of the match, Carey on Tuesday said his team is definitely gutted due to the injuries in their camp, but are also looking forward to putting it behind them and peaking at the right time.
"We have seen a fair few injuries in the short amount of time we have been here, so I don't know what that is down to - maybe the lack of matches in the past six months. So yes, its disappointing news coming out of our camp but (we know we have) two great people (Amit Mishra & Ishant Sharma) who continue to cheer us on," said Carey.
"But yeah, it's exciting now...

Dubai, Oct 13 (Ians/GloFans) Rajasthan Royals (Rr) will try and avenge the defeat they suffered at the hands of Delhi Capitals (DC) on October 9 when they meet here on Wednesday.
The Steve Smith-led Rr are placed at the sixth place in the standings, and would hope for a spirited show in order to keep their play-offs hopes alive.
On Wednesday, Rr have a bright chance of settling scores against the Shreyas Iyer-led DC as they have their most lethal weapon, Ben Stokes, back in the side.
The England all-rounder, who opened the innings against SunRisers Hyderabad (Srh), would be hungry to deliver after a below-par show on Sunday, which was also his first game of the season.
It will be interesting to see if the Rr think-tank once again asks Stokes to open the innings or send him to bat in the middle-order as his side lacks a genuine finisher or power-hitter there.

New Delhi, Oct 13 (Ians) Chennai Super Kings' (Csk) spinner Imran Tahir, who won the Purple Cap last season with 26 wickets but is yet to feature in a match this year, is one of the key players available for mid-season transfer.
With a spate of injuries and imbalance in various sides in the first half, there is a possibility that some of the franchises who are seeking changes in their team, may use the option of mid-season transfer which began on Tuesday. At this stage all teams have played half of their league phase games, i.e. seven.
Leg-spinner Tahir had taken 26 wickets in 17 matches last season. It is a surprise that he or Mitchell Santner haven't featured despite none of the Csk spinners have done really well. Piyush Chawla, Csk's most successful spinner, has conceded close to nine runs per over.
Tahir could invite interest from one of Kolkata Knight...

Dubai, Oct 4 (Ians/GloFans) It will be a battle between equals when two top Ipl teams -- Delhi Capitals (DC) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (Rcb) -- square-off at the Dubai International cricket stadium here on Monday.
Both teams have six points each, but on net run rate DC were ahead of Rcb till the start of the Mumbai Indians-SunRisers Hyderabad match on Saturday. Both Mumbai and Hyderabad had four points each before their game began, and by the end of their match, the equation on the points table could alter.
Delhi and Bangalore are fresh from wins on Saturday. While the Virat Kohli-led Rcb side thrashed Rajasthan Royal (Rr), the Shreyas Iyer-captained DC defeated Kkr by 18 runs.
Both contests saw their respective skippers leading from the front. After three below-par shows, Kohli regained his touch and played a fantastic unbeaten 72-run knock, helping his side register their third win of the league.
