Summer is underway and June is already ending, but we’ve still got plenty of goodies rolling out on Screambox as we barrel towards the fast-approaching Halloween season.

Getting a head start on Christmas in July, today we just unwrapped 24 shorts by 24 directors from around the globe with the horror anthology film Deathcember.

The premise of Deathcember, provided by Shout! Factory, is incredibly fun, with the film playing out like a cinematic advent calendar.

Coming soon from Rock Bottom Video, the trailer for indie horror movie Spookie Dookie has arrived this week, this first-look sneak peek at the movie featuring Marilyn Mayson.

Spookie Dookie is written and directed by Brian Papandrea (Feaster Sunday).

Powerbomb was independently financed by fans. Now, this title is set to show on home entertainment platforms this April. In this indie horror thriller, an amateur wrestler is stalked and kidnapped by one of his fans. Now, this character will have to find a way to outsmart his captor, if he ever wants to see the ring again. Powerbomb was developed by directors B.J. Colangelo (Deathcember) and R. Zachary Shildwachter. As well, the cast consists of: action actor Cash Allen, pro-wrestler Matt Cappicioni and backyard wrestler Greg Iron. The film's U.S. trailer and poster are hosted here. For this month’s Let’s Scare Bryan to Death, we’re coming out of the spooky season with a movie picked out by Bj Colangelo, a horror writer who’s got bylines all over the place, including Fangoria, Playboy, and Bitch Flicks. Zach Shildwachter is a guy who has paid his dues in the film business, over the years amassing nearly 30 credits as both a production assistant and second unit director. After working on I Sell the Dead and "Fringe," to name just a couple of his credits...

Zach is now devoting his time to movies of his own, making his directorial debut with last year's short Thrill Kill.

The young filmmaker's latest short, Scum, a project that he both wrote and directed, has just been made available for free viewing. The 12-minute film is a sort of retro-inspired mix of Falling Down and Maniac, with the most interesting aspect being the fact that the voice-over dialogue is comprised entirely of real quotes from actual serial killers.

Starring Josh Miller, Scum explores the horrifying capabilities of a man pushed too far, brutally exposing how close we all are to becoming monsters in the blink of an eye.
