Archie Griffin
- As a running back for The Ohio State University, he became the only two-time winner of the Heisman Trophy Award (1974, 1975).
- Inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1986.
- Played for the NFL's Cincinnati Bengals (1976-1982) and USFL's Jacksonville Bulls (1985).
- Inducted into the International Sports Hall of Fame in 2013.
- Since 1999, the Touchdown Club of Columbus, Ohio has presented annually the Archie Griffin Award, which signifies "college football's most valuable player for the entire season".
