The Malayalam movie Kolahalam is reportedly making its way to Ott soon, about a month after it arrived in theatres. Directed by Rasheed Parambil, this comedy-drama will soon start its digital streaming. The film had a quiet run at the box office in July, but now it will be available for audiences to watch from home on the upcoming Friday.

According to reports from OTTplay, Kolahalam will be available for streaming on Sun Nxt from August 22, 2025. However, it is important to note that the platform is yet to make an official announcement. If the reports come to fruition, interested viewers can watch it from the comfort of their homes.

Despite its evidently low budget and one-man show nature, siince director Fasil Muhammad also serves as writer and editor, while the cast consists of non-actors, mostly friends and acquaintances, “Feminist Fathima” was a surprising success in Kerala, where it premiered. It won the Jury Prize in the international competition, the Fipresci and Netpac awards, the Ffsi K. R. Mohanan Award (Special Mention for Best Debut Director), and the Audience Poll Award, screening to theater crowds that exceeded capacity. At the 48th Kerala Film Critics Association Awards in April 2025, the movie was honored as Best Film, and Shamla Hamza received the award for Best Supporting Actress for her role.
