The sixth episode of Label worked on the principle of giving its protagonist some breathing space after putting him in a hell of a lot of trouble. Prabhakaran was arrested in the previous episode, and it seemed like his days of being a lawyer were over. But through some interesting legal work, he found a way to bounce back and put Arul Kumaran under pressure. Prabhakaran was still unaware of his father’s link with the label, and in an attempt to get his case quashed, he inadvertently helped Veera and Kumar get out of jail. Senguttuvan got an electric introduction, and the episode showed us how he was burning with the desire to avenge Pathaalam. The cliffhanger tantalizingly left us yearning to know who Ayya is, who was the phantom figure holding all of the strings in his label. Here is a detailed recap of Label episode 6.

Tamil actor Jai, who is receiving a lot of positive response to his recently released crime thriller series ‘Label’, has shared that his character of the lawyer is not just the one who fights for justice but also points out how biases affect people every day.

The Tamil series features Jai as a lawyer aspiring to be a judge and Tanya Hope as a journalist.

Talking about stepping into the challenging role of a lawyer in Label, Jai said: “When I read the script for Label, I instantly knew Prabhakaran, my character, had fire in his heart.

“He is no ordinary lawyer; he does not just fight for justice, but he also points out how bias affects us every day. For this role, understanding the role of a lawyer in today’s world was hectic but a learning experience for me.”

He added: “I can now see why their lives are so incredibly tough.

New Delhi, Aug 22 (Ians) The League Committee of the All India Football Federation (Aiff) has decided to increase the maximum number of players allowed in a squad in the I-League from 30 to 35 and to introduce a youth players’ quota, by dint of which, the clubs will have to sign eight U-22 players in their respective squads.

The League Committee, which met over video conferencing on Tuesday, also decided to maintain the status quo in terms of the number of foreigners a club can sign in the I-League.

The meeting was chaired by Lalnghinglova Hmar, and attended by Committee Members Arif Ali, Caitanno Jose Fernandes, Dr Reginold Varghese, and Anirban Dutta. Aiff Vice President Na Haris, Secretary General Dr Shaji Prabhakaran and Deputy Secretary General Satyanarayan M were present at the meeting.

New Delhi, Aug 22 (Ians) On August 10, several I-League clubs had shot a letter to the All India Football Federation (Aiff) putting forward a few proposals regarding free broadcasting of I-League matches, which has been a contemptuous issue since long. The clubs requested the Federation to consider the proposals with a commitment for the betterment of Indian football.

Earlier this year, the Super Cup qualifying round matches, in which mostly I-League teams were involved, were not telecast, prompting the clubs to express their displeasure over the ‘step-motherly’ treatment meted out to them.Last year, the Aiff had charged broadcasting fees from all the I-League clubs.

In the letter addressed to the Aiff, several I-League clubs urged for a transparent broadcasting and open tender process.

New Delhi, Aug 19 (Ians) The legendary football coach and currently the FIFA Chief of Global Football Development, Arsène Wenger, is likely to visit India in the second week of October to finalise the setting-up of a central academy in India jointly with the All-India Football Federation (Aiff), according to Federation President Kalyan Chaubey.

Chaubey and Aiff Secretary-General Dr. Shaji Prabhakaran had a meeting with Wenger, Steven Martens, Technical Director, FIFA, and Ulf Schott, Head of High-Performance Programmes, FIFA, in Sydney, Australia, on Saturday, to decide on the collaboration between the FIFA and the Aiff to launch an academy for U-13 boys and girls, the name of which will be finalised later.

Chaubey said after the meeting, “I am glad to say that we are on the verge of setting up a state-of-the-art centralised academy in India, along with FIFA, with Arsène Wenger playing a key role in the whole setup.
