It featured Star Trek actors Leonard Nimoy and Zachary Quinto, agreeing to meet for a game of golf and competing to see who can reach the course first. More than 5 million people viewed the ad on the Audi YouTube channel in the first week.

Chelsea, Massachusetts, in terms of a city, is so diverse - especially now - and also impoverished. I grew up there from age 6 on. Prior to that, I was in this pastoral, sort of rural town of Topsfield, Massachusetts. I really got to see the heights of white privilege, then see where the world really is. It definitely informed me about the disparities in the world, the ugliness of the world, and the unfairness of the world.

There is something wrong with the corporate feudalistic system that we call a democracy that is no longer one in a lot of ways.

I think because we've lost civics education in schools and because we now celebrate the ditherings of the human mind in the form of Twitter and Instagram and Facebook - you know, 5,000 years of trying to quiet the mind philosophically and we blew that apart in 10 years - that you don't have people maybe as conditioned to have a dialogue where you can get impassioned about something but then step away from it and still love your family member.

But in observing [Trump] and learning how to do him, I'll stand by it till the day I die: You have to have empathy for him. He's a person. He might be the worst person in the world to a lot of people, but he's a person. And if you want to understand how he works and what he does, empathetically you must get there.
