Hulk Hogan Reveals Why John Cena Can’t Match His Heel Turn and I Have to Sadly Agree
Image
The course of professional wrestling completely changed at the 2025 WWE Elimination Chamber Ple at the end of the show. The man to do it was none other than John Cena. After 25 years of ‘Hustle, Loyalty and Respect’, Cena embraced the hate and turned heel for the first time in the prime of his in-ring WWE career.

However, before Cena did the unthinkable, WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan had created a similar yet iconic moment. The larger-than-life Superhero Hulkster turned heel in WCW at the Bash at the Beach event in 1996. Hogan recently reflected back on that memorable moment, and hearing his story, it does make a case that John Cena’s heel turn would not match Hogan’s.

John Cena Can’t Trust Logan Paul Blindly After What He Has Said About the Last Real WWE Champion
Image
WWE has finally started gaining momentum after a modest showing at WrestleMania 41. The return of Cody Rhodes blew life back into the company’s struggling numbers and, with John Cena facing a new array of opposition, allowed the fans to be excited once again.

What was supposed to be a clash of an idol against his lifelong fan, in John Cena versus R Truth, soon saw a full-blown evolution into something massive. WWE returned to its peak storytelling with the inclusion of Jey Uso and Logan Paul in what has been a desperate attempt by the company to go all guns blazing with the latter. Now with John Cena and Logan Paul teaming up, WWE has got the necessary ingredients to once again build up a friction of a lifetime.

Triple H Really Thought Vince McMahon Was Going to Fire Him But He Ended Up Getting Punished
Image
Triple H and Vince McMahon had a strong bond during their time in WWE, which grew even deeper when Triple H married Vince’s daughter, Stephanie McMahon. After Vince stepped away, Triple H took charge and has been running the promotion successfully.

However, not many know that Vince once considered firing Triple H over something he did with Shawn Michaels, Kevin Nash, and Scott Hall. While the others were let off, Triple H was the only one who faced harsh punishment.

In 1996, Triple H was set for a major push in WWE. He was supposed to win the King of the Ring and then feud with the then World Champion, Shawn Michaels. However, things took an unexpected turn due to an incident he had little involvement in.

Stephanie McMahon Doesn’t Want to Fight With Triple H at Work as She Calls Out His 1 Tiny Lie
Image
Paul “Triple H” Levesque had a decades-long, illustrious career in the ring before moving into an executive position within WWE. In addition to being a powerful force inside the squared circle, Triple H, known to fans as The Game, was also one of the most adaptable and durable characters the company has ever encountered.

Fans frequently saw a different side of Triple H through interviews and behind-the-scenes footage, even though he thrived in serious, dramatic storylines in front of the camera. A humorous story about a small lie he told his wife, Stephanie McMahon, was one such incident that caught attention because of its lightheartedness.

Shawn Michaels Didn’t Protect Triple H Despite Being Best Friends After Infamous WWE Event

Triple H is the Chief Content Officer of the WWE and has one of the highest-ranking positions in the organization. He is only superseded by CEO Nick Khan and Tko Chairman Ari Emmanuel. Hhh is also a Hall of Famer and a multi-time world champion. Many say these reigns and positions were handed to him but nobody remembers the work he put in to get to that position in life.

The 1996 Msg Curtain Call almost put a full stop to Triple H’s career. He was the one who faced the consequences for that event. Shawn Michaels, his friend, faced none because he was the WWE champion. Kevin Nash (the other collaborator) spoke out recently about this incident and how Hbk failed to protect their friend.

Hulk Hogan Knows WWE Fans Treat Him Differently Than John Cena and The Rock
Image
When talking about the world of pro wrestling, wrestlers are often greeted by different reactions from the fans. It depends on the role that you are delivering. One can be a baby face, drive an entire narrative, and always walk out to laurels and loud pops. On the contrary, heels drive those catcalls and boos for various reasons. However, there is an entire emotion reserved for the fans when Hulk Hogan and Hulkamania run wild.

Hulk Hogan carried the company at one point in time, almost single-handedly, drawing admiration from the fans always. However, the fandom got splintered when he formed the nWo and joined forces with Diesel and Razor Ramon. This is what kayfabe is all about. The drama and the tension set it all up.

“He took his ball and went home”: Stone Cold Said “F*ck You” to a Pissed Vince McMahon and He Was Right
Image
Stone Cold Steve Austin was the hottest WWE star during the Attitude Era. He was the badass baby face the crowd wanted and got. From 1997 to 2000, he was one of the company’s faces (alongside The Rock). WWE and Stone Cold were inseparable. Yet, something went wrong in 2002. After a botched heel turn a year earlier, it looked like Stone Cold was missing something.

He had done everything, and now, it looked like there was nothing left to do. In June 2002, Stone Cold walked out of the company controversially. He did it just before an episode of Raw, too. Why did he do it? What did WWE do that made Stone Cold angry enough to walk out of the company?

Stone Cold was already frustrated with his booking for a few months

In 2002, Austin was still as big as ever, but his popularity and success had started to reach their summit.

Hulk Hogan Blames the Rock for Ruining John Cena’s Heel Run, Wanted Them to Make the Babyfaces Cry Like nWo Did
Image
There are a few wrestlers who get so big alongside the transition of the company that they somehow get a hallmark to their name. For example, the likes of Razor Ramon, the man who immortalised the art of being a heel, and such was his persona that even thinking about him being a baby face felt weird. Similarly, if we take a look at the other side of the spectrum, the likes of Hulk Hogan and John Cena, they ran wild with their babyface personas.

When Hulk Hogan turned on WCW, joining the New World Order alongside Diesel and Razor Ramon, the world was left stunned and speechless. In a similar display, when John Cena delivered a low blow to Cody Rhodes after 25 years of being the poster boy baby face of the industry, the wrestling universe still tried to make sense of what really happened.

Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff Want Their New Wrestling League to Be Like ‘The Voice’
Image
We finally know what Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff have been putting over on X for a little while now. Ok, so we’ve known for a few weeks, but the plans are now public.

Hogan, a Mt. Rushmore professional wrestler (in terms of what he meant to the biz), and Bischoff, WCW’s greatest promoter, have joined forces 25 years after their great nWo run to launch Real American Freestyle, an “unscripted” freestyle-wrestling league. What that means in layman’s terms is this is not the WWE-style wrestling they’re known for — rather it is amateur-style wrestling, but with (real, American) money at stake.

It’s “a legitimate sports competition,” Bischoff told The Hollywood Reporter, “not a scripted sports competition or form of entertainment.”

The “integrity” of the grappling competition will be “impeccable,” Hogan said, though the league is also promising “high-impact moves designed to captivate modern audiences,” per the announcement.

“He was hurting people”: Triple H Threatened Vince McMahon to Quit WWE After He Put Him Against the Most Terrible Wrestler
Image
Triple H is widely regarded as a cornerstone of WWE, an enduring symbol of excellence and leadership. Yet, even he had to climb the ladder of success, earning his legacy through years of hard work, resilience, and unforgettable performances.

Known to fans as “The Cerebral Assassin,” he captured 14 world championships and headlined countless marquee matches throughout his illustrious career. While he may no longer step into the squared circle as an active competitor, his impact on the business continues, shaping WWE from behind the scenes as a visionary and leader.

In the history of WWE, there have been several rivalries that have left a lasting impression in the minds of the viewers. “Let me turn on him”: Hulk Hogan Could Have Saved WWE With His Heel Turn 32 Years Ago but Vince McMahon Refused

The world of professional wrestling was slowly picking up in the early 1990s and entering the mainstream. The biggest promotion at the time was WWE (then known as WWF), and the flagship star for the global juggernaut was none other than ‘The Immortal’ Hulk Hogan.

Hulk Hogan transcended the entire scene of professional wrestling with his larger-than-life American hero persona. He was an idol to children, a household name worldwide, and one of the biggest WWE superstars of all time. However, his popularity as a babyface had begun to wane after some years of his meteoric rise.

The wrestling world added perhaps one of the biggest, most shocking moments to its illustrious history this past week at the WWE Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event. From Troublemaker To Genius: How Triple H Became The Most Important Man In WWE
Image
In 1995, a young man named Paul Levesque strolled onto the grand stage of WWE, after only three years as a professional wrestler. As an impressive bodybuilder and a pro wrestling prodigy, he not only looked the part - he was the part. It was stated by a few of his fellow wrestlers that the future star said to them, "Someday... I'm going to run this place."

30 years later, that statement is essentially true. Levesque is the man behind the blueprint of the modern WWE. While he will never be forgotten for his wrestling career, the performer known worldwide as Triple H has morphed into an elite executive. It's almost ironic that he once led a faction called 'Evolution', because he may have transformed more than anyone in the history of the promotion.

Why the nWo Didn't Work in WWE

The New World Order is one of the most recognizable and sustained brands in professional wrestling, widely recognized as one of the greatest factions in the history of the business. When Hulk Hogan shocked the wrestling world by turning heel and aligning with Kevin Nash and Scott Hall at WCW's Bash at the Beach, the nWo took WCW, and professional wrestling, to new popularity.

WWE acquired the IP of WCW in 2001 after it went out of business, and it seemed like only a matter of time before the nWo appeared in WWE. Hulk Hogan, Scott Hall, and Kevin Nash returned to WWE with the potential to reignite some of the nWo magic in WCW, but it never took off or captured the same energy or mystique it once had. While no one specific moment caused its failure, a combination of injuries, releases, and storyline pivots caused the nWo to fall...

The Expendables is a franchise that promised action movie fans the ultimate dream: to bring together the greatest action stars of multiple generations under one explosive banner. While the series has delivered its fair share of crowd-pleasing moments and some of the Expendables' biggest stunts, not every casting coup has lived up to its potential. Despite assembling an impressive roster, including Stallone and Schwarzenegger teaming up with rising stars, with each entry, several performers found themselves in roles that failed to capitalize on their unique skills.

From martial arts icons to new actors, these performers deserved better than their brief or underwhelming appearances in the franchise. Whether limited by screen time, poor character development, action sequences that failed to showcase their abilities, or no action sequences at all. These stars represent missed opportunities in a series built on celebrating action cinema.

10 Terrible Vince Russo Ideas That WCW Fans Hated
Image
There was once a time when WWE had its work cut out for itself trying to compete with WCW. World Championship Wrestling was delivering must-see, edgier content than WWE was at the time, thanks in large part to Eric Bischoff's ideas that led to WCW being ahead in the ratings for 83 weeks straight. WWE's best answer was to hire as creative a writer for their magazine, Vic Venom, better known today as Vince Russo.

His name is easy to guffaw at now, but there was a time when some of the most thrilling story developments of the Attitude Era were conceived from the mind of Vince Russo, for example, the critically acclaimed Deadly Games tournament at Survivor Series 1998, which crowned The Rock his first WWE Championship win). As Head Writer, Russo also contributed to the formation of D-Generation X, the Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. Mr. McMahon feud, and Mick Foley's push.

10 Great Forgotten WCW Matches Every Wrestling Fan Should Watch

Interest in WCW is seeing a huge resurgence, with The Rock's Seven Bucks Productions airing a full docuseries on "Who Killed WCW?" for Vice, and some interesting claims about WWE taking some of its most successful ideas from WCW in Mr. McMahon, the controversial Netflix documentary on Vince's life. Led by billionaire Ted Turner, the often-ruled promotion famously outperformed WWE in the ratings for 83 weeks before being eventually bought and owned by WWE.

In the subsequent years, programming would often point out how that went wrong, with the not-so-subtle suggestion that WCW's quality was rarely up to the standards set by WWE, before and after. However, this is not necessarily true. The quality of the in-ring work across WCW's lifespan includes some of the most overlooked matches in the history of professional wrestling, both within that 83-week glory period and across its entire existence. Bret Hart's comments about an iconic WWE moment in Mr. McMahon stand out as the most interesting part of Netflix's docuseries. 30 Years Later, Bret and Owen Hart In A Steel Cage Is Still the Greatest Summerslam Match (But It Could Have Been Even Better)
Image
In the nearly forty-year history of WWE's major summer event, Summerslam, one match stands out above the rest as the all-time greatest: Bret Hart vs. his brother Owen at Summerslam 1994. The steel cage match stands as one of the most emotionally resonant bouts in the canon of wrestling though as Bret later admitted in an interview, it had the potential to be even better.

In an interview with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated from 2017, Bret reflected on his feud with Owen, and their groundbreaking Summerslam match, noting that the brothers had originally pitched a ladder match instead. While they initially shied away at the idea of a Steel Cage match, they eventually delivered one of the most iconic performances ever put on inside the cage.

Still, it is worth considering whether the Harts could have topped even that, had they been given unlimited creative freedom to do the match their way.

15 Best WWE PPVs Ever
Image
The best WWE PPVs are more than great wrestling cards. For fans, they are the milestone moments that chart the evolution of not just storylines and feuds but our fandom for this often silly (and sometimes worse) business. They’re not only filled with great matches, hot crowds, and all-time moments, but those special, often indefinable qualities that can put a smile on your face just by thinking of them.

For that reason, we’re looking back at the very best PPVs in WWE history. Just keep in mind that we’re only looking at WWE PPVs (and PLEs) for this list. That means no PPVs produced by other promotions and no Nxt shows. Those shows are more than worthy of their own lists.

15. WrestleMania X

Much like another event we’ll soon talk about, WrestleMania X is best remembered for its two five-star matches. Say what you will about...

Oliver Stone kicked his cocaine habit writing *the* coke movie, Scarface
Image
In the 1980s, you would have been hard-pressed to find anybody who had access to cocaine not on cocaine. And that especially went for those in the world of entertainment. As such, it was only a matter of time before a movie would give it the spotlight…and that movie was 1983’s Scarface. Appropriately enough, Oliver Stone — then a serious lover of booger sugar — was tasked to write Scarface. All he needed to do was kick his habit…

In an excerpt from the new book “The World Is Yours: The Story of Scarface”, Oliver Stone remembered being in serious need of a hit, having just helmed flop The Hand. At the time, he admitted, “I was on cocaine. I was doing cocaine, and I was really an addict, without knowing it.” He added, “I did all the research for Scarface on cocaine, in and out of the country. It was...

Georgia Prosecutors Are Assuming Jail Sentences For Accused In Trump’s 2020 Georgia Election Fraud Case, New Emails Show
Image
The prosecutors participating in the 2020 Fulton County, Georgia, election fraud case indicated that they are searching for ways to sentence Donald Trump and the other co-defendants in the case to prison.

One email, in a batch newly released under Georgia’s public records law, contains an exchange between the former president’s defense lawyers and prosecutors showing that District Attorney of Fulton County Fani Willis suggested that the attorneys had a lengthy road ahead of them.

Willis said, “Long after these folks are in jail, we will still be practicing law.”

Another exchange between the defense lawyers and Willis showed Trump attorney Steve Sadow sharing that he was upset about an unfinished Rudy Giuliani transcript.

The attorney had a problem with the language utilized by the defense and stated that Trump’s team would be given the entire transcript in the next production of discovery.

“No one placed me here,...

Trump Lawyers Sidney Powell & Kenneth Chesebro Write One-Sentence Apology Letters After Guilty Pleas In Georgia Election Fraud Case
Image
In October, former Trump lawyers Sidney Powell and Kenneth Chesebro both agreed to write apology letters after their guilty pleas in the Fulton County, Georgia, election fraud case, which indicted 19 people for trying to overturn the state’s 2020 presidential election results.

Their letters, which were acquired by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution via an open records request, were each one sentence long, seeming to mock prosecutors.

“I apologize for my actions in connection with the events in Coffee County,” Powell said in her letter written on October 19.

“I apologize to the citizens of the State of Georgia and of Fulton County for my involvement in Count 15 of the indictment,” Chesebro declared in his apology letter written on October 20.

The letters do not address the legitimacy of President Joe Biden winning Georgia’s 2020 election or condemn the unfounded conspiracy theories they promoted to claim that Trump had been fraudulently cheated out of victory.

Mike Pence Is on the Witness List for Trump’s Georgia Trial: Report
Image
Georgia prosecutors have added former Vice President Mike Pence to the list of witnesses who could be called to testify in Donald Trump’s upcoming election interference Rico trial, according to a report from CNN.

More than 150 individuals, including Pence, have reportedly been included in the Fulton County witness list, which remains under seal.

While Pence was compelled by Special Counsel Jack Smith to testify before a grand jury in the Justice Department’s federal election interference case against Trump, the former vice president has so far skirted significant involvement in the Fulton County case.

The Gray Man 2: Netflix Now Working on How to Approach the Action Sequel
Image
Netflix is working on a sequel to The Gray Man, but hasn't figured out how to bring back the characters yet. The focus of The Gray Man 2 will be on the characters rather than big action. The Gray Man 2 is intended to be the start of a new action franchise, with potential prequels and spinoffs in development.

Netflix is now working on how to approach a sequel to their action thriller franchise starter, The Gray Man. According to Scott Stuber, Head of Netflix Film, who recently sat down with Collider, the streaming platform is eager for more Ryan Gosling-led adventures, but have not yet cracked how to bring the series back for The Gray Man 2. See what Stuber had to say below:

"When we talk about it, the advantage we have is we have incredible actors; they're watchable, they're unique. So, you know, Joe and Anthony [Russo] have talked about,...

Trump Preps for an Avalanche of Co-Conspirators to Flip
Image
Since the summer, Donald Trump’s legal teams have been wracked by one abiding fear: betrayal.

On one front, the former president’s inner circle has fretted about how many co-defendants in the Fulton County criminal case — or co-conspirators in the special counsel probes — might turn against him, accept a plea deal, and cooperate with the prosecutors. But lingering beneath the fear of disloyalty lies another, darker fear about whether anyone anyone still working in, or close to, Trump’s inner orbit could already secretly be working with prosecutors.

For months,...

Trump Lawyer Jenna Ellis Pleads Guilty To Making False Statements About Election Fraud In Georgia
Image
On Tuesday, Donald Trump’s campaign attorney, Jenna Ellis, pleaded guilty to making false statements to Georgia lawmakers about election fraud in 2020.

Ellis admitted to helping spread misinformation by claiming that nearly 100,000 mail-in ballots were fraudulently cast, 2,500 felons illegally voted, 60,000 underage people illegally voted and more than 10,000 dead people in Georgia voted in the 2020 presidential election.

“I relied on others, including lawyers with many more years of experience than I do to provide me with true and reliable information,” Ellis told Judge Scott McAfee on Tuesday. “What I did not do, but should have done Your Honor, was to make sure that the facts the other lawyers alleged to be true were, in fact, true. In the frenetic pace of attempting to raise challenges to the election in several states, including Georgia, I failed to do my due diligence.”

By pleading guilty to the felony charge, Ellis agreed to serve five years of probation,...

Sidney Powell Pleads Guilty In Georgia Election Fraud Case, Agrees To Testify Against Trump, Giuliani & Others
Image
Sidney Powell, a prominent member of Donald Trump’s legal team in 2020, pleaded guilty on Thursday to six misdemeanor counts on charges of attempting to tamper with election results and spread false election fraud claims in Georgia.

In a courtroom at the Fulton County Superior Court, Powell was sentenced to six years of probation, a less severe outcome than what she may have faced if found guilty of the seven felonies she was originally charged with, including a violation of the state racketeering law.

She has also agreed to testify against the other defendants, which include Trump and his former lawyer, Rudy Giuliani.

Powell is the first of Trump’s close advisers to turn on the former president in this ongoing criminal case, a victory that federal prosecutors have long been awaiting. She is the second to take a plea deal in the case, after Georgia bail bondsman Scott Hall...
