Is a singer-songwriter.

Scott released a self-titled album in 1989, produced by singer Richard Carpenter (of The Carpenters).

Once considered a career as a professional hockey player. Scott now plays only the position of center in benefit celebrity events.

Scott has performed with Bob Hope, The Carpenters, and Merv Griffin.

Scott was discovered by radio news jock Dave Maynard, who hosted Community Auditions, a local Boston-based talent show. Scott won first place because of his exceptional singing ability and came back to visit the show after he made the movie It Came Upon the Midnight Clear (1984).

When he was just a 12-year-old taking music lessons and growing up in Massachusetts, he was selected to appear on Broadway in the musical "Nine" with Raul Julia.

He got the part on Urgences (1994) because he auditioned for a three-episode arc and then was kept on. On ER, he was also reunited with fellow Frères d'armes (2001) cast member, Eion Bailey (Pvt. David Webster).

Was signed for 16 of the 22 episodes of the 2003-2004 season of Urgences (1994), and was a series regular during the 2005-2006 season.

Was a guest vocalist on an album of the group 30-Odd-Foot of Grunts (the band fronted by his Mystery, Alaska (1999) co-star Russell Crowe).

Is of Irish heritage.

Father of actress Madison Grimes (b. 2 April 1999).

Scott doesn't have HBO at his home, so he had to watch Frères d'armes (2001) at his mother's house.

Shares a birthday with Tom Hanks, one of his idols.

An avid sports player, he plays hockey and basketball (among others).
