Was a part of a group of actors that John Wayne regularly used in his movies.

Originally set out to become a civil engineer but in 1958 decided to try acting and moved to Los Angeles. Within a month he found a role on an episode of Have Gun - Will Travel (1957).

As of 2016, was retired and living in Palm Springs, CA.

Earned a degree in business before joining the US Air Force.

Was a guest at the 2012 Memphis Film Festival's "A Gathering of Guns 4: A TV Western Reunion" at the Whispering Woods Hotel and Conference Center in Olive Branch, MS.
