The Undertaker made his debut in WWE in 1990 as the mortician figure who was the mystery partner of The Million Dollar Man, Ted Dibiase. The night marked the start of what became one of the greatest legacies in professional wrestling as Undertaker went on to become a worldwide-renowned figure.
In his illustrious WWE career, The Demon from Death Valley has battled some of the greatest in-ring performers of all time. The right at the top is none other than Shawn Michaels, with whom he had produced countless stellar matches. However, there was a time when Taker despised the very sight of The Heartbreak Kid back in the day.

When we come to think of the shrewdest and most cunning businessmen, the name of Vincent Kennedy McMahon, more popularly known as Vince McMahon, is up there. Despite his legacy being tarnished over legal issues since 2024, it can’t be denied that he revolutionized the wrestling industry, becoming the biggest sports entertainment brand with his WWF/WWE.
Interestingly enough, over the years, there have been many instances where he has outright ascertained the claims of him being outright petty. From firing superstars for talking back to him to sacking big talents without hesitation, the Evil Genius’ ego is as big as it gets.
However, sometimes pettiness reaches new heights because Mr. McMahon wants to prove his point. This is how it went in 2009 when he made the LA Lakers and Denver Nuggets face off inside the ring after Raw was forced to move from the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado.

There are a few wrestlers who get so big alongside the transition of the company that they somehow get a hallmark to their name. For example, the likes of Razor Ramon, the man who immortalised the art of being a heel, and such was his persona that even thinking about him being a baby face felt weird. Similarly, if we take a look at the other side of the spectrum, the likes of Hulk Hogan and John Cena, they ran wild with their babyface personas.
When Hulk Hogan turned on WCW, joining the New World Order alongside Diesel and Razor Ramon, the world was left stunned and speechless. In a similar display, when John Cena delivered a low blow to Cody Rhodes after 25 years of being the poster boy baby face of the industry, the wrestling universe still tried to make sense of what really happened.

WWE has long been known for its captivating storylines and dynamic character development, elements that have deeply influenced generations of wrestling fans. Among the most iconic figures in the company’s history is Hulk Hogan, a legendary performer whose persona helped define an era of professional wrestling.
Leading up to WrestleMania VI, Hogan had cemented his dominance with an impressive title reign, holding the WWF Championship for 364 consecutive days, just one day short of a full year. However, the grand stage of WrestleMania was set for a seismic shift.
In a highly anticipated match, Hogan was scheduled to face The Ultimate Warrior, another powerhouse and fan favorite of that time. In what became a landmark moment in WWE history, Hogan lost the title to Ultimate Warrior.

As a WWE fan, there are names that are attached to great matches and great moments. John Cena and Randy Orton are two of them. Their feud has lasted nearly 20 years, which is a substantial piece of wrestling history that displays Cena’s unwavering fire and Orton’s unforgiving disrespect.
Their relationship outside of the wrestling business, as they have been childhood friends, helps elevate their arguments in the squared circle.
The two share something special, as per my feelings. On Monday Night Raw after Wrestlemania 41, Randy took the WWE Universe by surprise with an Rko on Cena. In one moment, Triple H helped revitalize a feud that has been dormant for 11 years now, and it was evident that this storyline is still extremely exciting.

Cena and Orton’s rivalry started in 2005, and as a fan, seeing them trade blows over the WWE Championship was just magic.

Donald Trump isn’t holding back. On April 02, the President of the United States of America revealed expansive new tariffs, calling it a “declaration of economic independence.” Declaring it a US economic emergency, he announced a minimum of 10% tariffs across all countries. Sixty countries were hit even harder as the rates only increased for them. The decision will heavily impact South Asian countries. For example, he imposed a 44% tariff on Sri Lanka.
While the world prepares for what may happen in the coming days, Saturday Night Live held no punches back as it took a dig at Donald Trump’s shocking decision. As James Austin Johnson returned to play the President, SNL clearly disapproved of the new changes, in its own hilarious way.

The 2025 Elimination Chamber is perhaps the most important PPV before WrestleMania that finally settled who Cody Rhodes is going to face at WrestleMania 41. The proposition was simple: become The Rock’s champion, and Rhodes would have a legacy so great that it would etch his name forever in the history of sports entertainment. The offer put the Champ in a dilemma, and he would give his answer at the end of the exclusive event.
The crowd at Rogers Centre awaited Rhodes’ answer, who sided with them, leading to an explicit moment, which created an uproar in the WWE Univers. However, this scene rubbed the wrong way on a WWE veteran, making him call out...

WWE’s women’s division has always been criticized, and a significant percentage of wrestling enthusiasts feel that women’s wrestling is not as entertaining as men’s. Much of this can be agreed upon, as World Wrestling Entertainment is on The Road to WrestleMania 41, with several storylines that fans are heavily invested in.

At the same time, when we look at the women’s section, things seem to lack the same build-up and big moments that will make fans look forward to their match. Thus, making fans hold a steadfast belief that women’s wrestling can never catch up to the fraction of greatness that the men’s division has achieved in the last decade.
However, Ted Dibiase does not agree with the stans, stating how the female wrestlers of today are staging performances that redeem the division and are giving hope for a brighter future.

WWE has a long history of unforgettable championship moments. From the underdog victories that shake arenas to shocking betrayals that leave fans speechless, title reigns in professional wrestling are often about more than just holding a belt.
They tell stories, some of perseverance, others of dominance, and a few that are just downright bizarre. Superstars like John Cena, Seth Rollins, and Roman Reigns have had legendary championship runs, defining eras and creating memories that live on for generations.

But one WWF title reign stands out, not for its dominance, nor its dramatic buildup, but for just how absurdly short it was. A reign so brief that if you blinked, you might have missed it entirely. And no, we’re not talking about an impromptu Money in the Bank cash-in or a quick roll-up victory. This was something far more unique and infamous.

A WWE title is a dream for all wrestlers, who strive for years to win them. However, the victory does not stop there as the winners also have to defend their title before the next one in line challenges their reign. In the summer of 1996, the World Wrestling Federation held its annual King of the Ring tournament. After weeks of matches, the semis and finals were set for June 23rd, 1996, with Stone Cold Steve Austin facing Jake “The Snake” Roberts for the crown later in the night. Roberts, then known for working from a Christian angle, would cut a promo before the match doing just that. Just before Austin took the ring and pinned Roberts, he was tipped about the promo’s contents.
After the five-minute match, Austin stood next to the same man who tipped him off, Michael Hayes. And it was there that a legend and a catchphrase were born, and an entire industry was born again. With a mouth full of blood, Stone Cold Steve Austin told his defeated opponent: “You sit there and you thump your Bible, and you say your prayers, and it didn’t get you anywhere!

Sure, the Sega Master System was around and Atari was still on life support, but the Nintendo Entertainment System was absolutely dominant in society. We didn’t even call it “the Nes.” It was just “Nintendo.” For many, “playing video games” was “playing Nintendo.”
Nintendo’s major market share led to some interesting marketing experiments. Captain N: The Game Master was an animated series that not only advertised different games as part of its lore, but even included third-party game heroes like Simon Belmont and Mega Man as supporting characters. Then there’s The Wizard: an attempt to promote the upcoming Super Mario Bros. 3 via a bizarre family film version of Rain Man that included the questionable choice of casting Christian Slater and doing nothing with him.

WWE 2K23 features quite a few improvements to the franchise formula that will certainly be welcomed by wrestling game fans everywhere. Of course, some things never change, which means that WWE 2K23 still makes you unlock quite a few wrestlers via gameplay accomplishments and by spending both real and virtual currency.
The very good news is that WWE 2K23 makes the various unlock processes fairly painless. The problem is that the game doesn’t always do a great job of telling you exactly how to unlock those wrestlers or the best way to go about acquiring all of them. Hopefully, we can help ease that part of the unlock system just a bit.
How to Unlock Every WWE 2K23 Wrestler With Virtual Currency
The vast majority of wrestlers in WWE 2K23 are unlocked via the game’s Virtual Currency (Vc) system. Every wrestler available via the in-game store costs 1,000 Vc to unlock.

John Oliver is having fun with Fox News and its lawsuit with Dominion Voting, again.
The Last Week Tonight host once again started his HBO show with a segment on the Rupert Murdoch-owned network, while also exploring the horniness of Tennessee Lt. Gov. Randy McNally and a long segment on Temporary Assistance For Needy Families (Tanf).
“I’d like to start with Fox News,” Oliver said. “The network that answers the question ‘What was on TV when grandpa died?’”
Murdoch this week admitted that he was worried about the tone of its coverage of the 2022 election.
“Laura Ingram delivers every monologue with the energy of a concussed PTA parent,” he added. “Sean Hannity – spews bullshit while looking like one big neck.”
Elsewhere, he metaphorically traveled to Tennessee – the first state to pass law to restrict drag performances on public property or anywhere a child could see them.

As we fast approach the WWE annual event known as Royal Rumble, it’s a good time to look back on all the previous shows. I’ve been doing just that. I’ve seen each event countless times, but I always enjoy going back in time to re-watch Royal Rumble shows, good or bad, from the past. Beginning in 1988, it was Pat Patterson who came up with the concept of the Royal Rumble match, and it’s been a hugely popular match and Pay-per View ever since. Fans love the idea of not knowing who is coming out next in the big thirty-man (and now thirty-woman) match. Surprises often occur, returns happen and the good guys and bad guys of the company all hit the ring for a big brawl to determine who will go to WrestleMania to face the Champ. The stipulation of winning a shot at the World...

In the fictional world of pro wrestling, drawing #30 might be portrayed as a random bit of luck, but there's reasoning for that spot.
WWE’s Royal Rumble works because of its controlled chaos. The story of the match is that anyone can win, but luck creates a massive handicap. If it wasn’t pre-determined, we’d see an awful lot more winners from the #30 spot. I mean, ever watch a Cpu simulated version of a Rumble in a video game? There’s like a 2/5 chance of that last entrant winning.
If that was a normal thing in WWE, that would get old real quick. While a few people have won at #30, the spot is usually given to someone who is supposed to come off as a real threat – Especially because of their lucky final spot – but really aren’t a viable winner. In fact, if someone earns...

Now, I’ve been opinionated here lately, but I haven’t compiled any sort of list, and we all like a list, don’t we? So, I figured I’d create a list that is purely my opinion but, from knowing how many people in and out of wrestling feel, it will be a series of opinions shared by many too. We can all shoot the breeze and throw around who we think are the best at something, and it’s all just opinion. We all have different views on what makes the best, what we feel are the best. So, this is my opinion of the ten best talkers in the history of pro-wrestling. Please let me know if you agree or disagree, I’d love to hear your thoughts on who makes your list and who tops it.

Every Royal Rumble has to start with someone and these pairs of competitors tend to have some meaning behind their appearances.
One of the things that makes the Royal Rumble so great is the illusion that everything is random. When the countdown ends, we don’t truly know who is going to run out most of the time. The full roster is a mystery, as is its order. But only in storyline. After all, wrestling is predetermined, so all of this is planned and written. That’s why the last five or six spots are usually the heavy hitters.
The #30 spot tends to be pretty straightforward. Outside of the three times when it’s gone to the winner, the final entrant is usually a specific kind of wrestler who is supposed to come off as high-level and threatening, but one that we know has zero real chance winning the match.

The pro wrestling world is in mourning today after the loss of one of sports entertainment's most colorful and iconic managers and entertainers. Bobby Heenan, a.k.a. He died at his home in Largo, Florida. Here's part of the WWE's statement on Bobby "The Brain" Heenan.
"WWE is saddened to learn that WWE Hall of Famer Bobby Heenan, regarded by many as the greatest manager in sports-entertainment history, has passed away at age 73. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin vs The Rock- Wrestlemania 17
“Shaking hands with Satan himself.”
Wrestlemania 17, hands down, is the best Wrestlemania booked to date. Apart from a horribly short Women’s Championship match with Chyna facing off against Ivory, from the opening match to the main event, every match was great.
The main event of the show was "Stone Cold" Steve Austin vs The Rock. The previous year, Austin had been recovering from long needed neck surgery sustained at the hands of Owen Hart at Summerslam 1997. During his time away, superstars like The Rock and Triple H stepped up their game and became main event players in their own right. When you are out of action for close to a year, there is a very real fear that by the time you get back in the ring you would have lost a step or two. Or worse, that the fans would...

Monday Night Raw is in the books for another week. Raw is building towards Fastlane, the last stop in the road before Wrestlemania. How did the show fare?
Roman Reigns faced off against Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson in a handicap match. You would think that the WWE Tag Team Champions would find a way to finish off Roman Reigns easily and in quick order yet they ended up winning the match by Dq after Roman took a chair from Luke Gallows and hit him with it. Why have Anderson and Gallows be your Tag Team Champions and yet go out of your way to make them look weak? I get that not everyone is going to win each and every week but you would think that during a handicap match of all things, the Tag Team Champs would find a way to easily handle one person. On March 7, World Wrestling Entertainment announced Big Boss Man as the newest inductee into the Hall of Fame class of 2016.
One of the best heavyweights of his or any generation, the double-tough Georgian had two stints with the company that produced tremendous results. As the former prison guard out of Cobb County, Georgia, he first established himself as a hated heel, determined to put Hulk Hogan down and out of professional wrestling.
Over time, though, he showed great respect and dignity, doing the right thing during a program involving Jake Roberts and Ted Dibiase and turning babyface in the process. It was in that role that he is most remembered, an upper midcard performer who mixed it up with main event talent on occasion but could always be trusted to carry any program handed down to him by management.

For the past few years, documentary filmmaker David Sinnott has been shoot-interviewing wrestlers and professional fighters, compiling material for his documentary, Nine Legends. It’s a true Mount Rushmore of fighters as well, more than delivering on the ‘Legend’ promise of the title.
The full list of those interviewed by Sinnott for the project are: Goldberg, Bret Hart, The Dynamite Kid, Rob Van Dam, Mike Tyson, Randy Couture, Lita, Ted Dibiase and Chris Jericho. Quite the range of stars, I’m sure you’ll agre.
Fans of wrestling docs may already recognise Sinnott’s name from his acclaimed 2009 effort, Bloodstained Memoirs, which followed a similar template, interviewing another 9 stars, including the likes of Ultimo Dragon, Mick Foley, The Great Muta, Roddy Piper and others.
In Nine Legends, the film hangs on a fictional narrative of an elderly Sinnott, in the year 2050, recounting the stories of his interviews to his grandson.

Going into 1990, the then-World Wrestling Federation was running on the fumes of the last vestiges of the Rock ‘n Wrestling Era, the days of Hulkamania slowly coming to an end. Faced with a number of damaging scandals, the WWF limped into the ill-conceived ‘New Generation’, in which Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, and Diesel led a motley crew of technicolor cartoon characters through watered-down programming. Cody Rhodes has, to date, had a strange old career.
Making his WWE debut back in 2007, many in the company considered Cody a future main event star. As of yet, that hasn’t happened, and it seems unrealistic to suggest that Stardust will be headlining PPVs any time soon. Aside from become World Champion, there isn’t much Rhodes hasn’t done in the promotion, however.
A 2-time WWE Intercontinental Champion, he has also held the Tag-Team Titles on 6 different occasions. Daniel Bryan has revealed a range of personal insights in his new book, ‘Yes!: My Improbable Journey to the Main Event of WrestleMania’.
He surprisingly goes into details about the first time he had sex with Brie Bella. Unfortunately, Ted Dibiase Jr and Sheamus walked in on them.

As with Hulk Hogan, as with The Rock and as with John Cena, when Vince McMahon points his finger at a man and says “that’s the guy” he rarely loses. When he does lose, it’s as a result of any type of creative (or not so creative) chicanery.
Stone Cold Steve Austin debuted in the WWE in late 1995 as The Ringmaster, a gimmick as uninspired and dull as its name. He was paired with Ted Dibiase shortly before he left for WCW and if you’ve never seen one of The Ringmaster’s matches, you’ve missed nothing.
The first time that “Stone Cold” Steve Austin performed on PPV as Stone Cold Steve Austin was at Wrestlemania Xii from Anaheim. He won that night and hence begun a trend. One year later he would have arguably the greatest match in Wrestlemania history. Two years later, “the Austin era” began in earnest.

Professional wrestling has a colorful history of dastardly villains doing things a normal person wouldn’t dare. To elicit a genuinely heated reaction from the crowd took a level of finesse that only a few have ever truly mastered. A role pioneered by the legendary Gorgeous George – whose persona was later emulated by the likes of Muhammad Ali – a true “heel” lives to be hated.
We have seen our fair share of great examples over the years. The recently-departed Ox Baker caused riots in the 70’s with his signature heart punch. “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair made a career out of being “The Dirtiest Player in the Game.” Mr. McMahon was the tyrannous corporate boss who made employees join his “Kiss My Ass” Club. “Rowdy” Roddy Piper would cross lines every chance he was given.
But if you ask me, one guy leaves them all in the dust.

Known for his signature finishing move the Ddt, and for coming into the ring with his pet snake Damien, Jake The Snake Roberts was one of the most colorful performers in the classic era of the World Wrestling Federation. SummerSlam is often billed as “The Biggest Party of the Summer,” and Sunday night’s 27th installment was no exception. After a jaw-dropping PPV that saw three titles change hands, a shocking turn and a melee that 20 lumberjacks couldn’t contain, it’s safe to say that anyone who plunked down $9.99 got their money’s worth.
Fans saw the Intercontinental and Divas Championships trade hands in the first two matches, bringing the total number of title changes in SummerSlam’s 27-year history to more than 30. Then the PPV got to the main event and tacked one more massive title change onto the pile. Throughout SummerSlam’s history, some of these matches have been truly memorable affairs – the sight of the new champ hoisting the title high a visual that sticks with fans for years afterward.
