Arch Alien

Stan Lee will team with creators of HBO's "Rome" and The CW's "The Flash" for the action-thriller feature "Arch Alien" at Hualien Media and Mission Control Entertainment. Shooting kicks off next March.

Lee will co-create the story for the potential franchise launcher with Bill Macdonald and Ralph Hemecker to pen the script and Hemecker to direct. The story is laced with conspiracy, mysticism and alien mythology. [Source: Heat Vision]

Le Vision Pictures USA has scored the rights to Jayson Rothwell's action film...

The studio has picked up the Us and majority of world rights from Voltage Pictures to the completed thriller starring Bella Thorne, Ioan Gruffudd and Chandler Riggs.

Voltage Pictures will handle international sales on remaining territories at the Afm this week.

Keep Watching follows a family plunged into a game of survival by unknown forces whose mysterious rules become clear as the night unfolds. The project was formerly known as Home Invasion.

Sean Carter directed from a script by Joseph Dembner. Voltage chief Nicolas Chartier and Craig J Flores produced under the Voltage Films label with Andrew Rona and Alex Heineman via The Picture Company.

“We couldn’t be more excited to have Clint Culpeper and his amazing team at Screen Gems launch the first film in the Keep Watching franchise,” said Flores.

Wme Global represented Us rights in the deal and Voltage president and COO Jonathan Deckter represented Voltage.

The Walking Dead star Chandler Riggs and Ioan Gruffudd (Fantastic Four) have signed on to star in Home Invasion for Voltage Pictures.

The story centers on a family who are terrorized by a group of mysterious intruders. As the night unfolds, they slowly begin to learn the rules of this dangerous game they are playing. Ioan Gruffudd plays the father to Chandler Riggs's character and the previously-attached Bella Thorne. Natalie Martinez also stars as the stepmother.

Commercials director Sean Carter is making his feature directorial debut, working from a screenplay by first-time writer Joseph Dembner. Voltage's Nicolas Chartier and Craig J. Flores are producing alongside Silver Pictures' Andrew Rona and Alex Heineman, who developed the script with Joseph Dembner. Joel Silver, Steve Richards and Michael Fiore are executive producing. No production schedule was given.

Aside from his role as Carl Grimes on The Walking Dead, Chandler Riggs previously starred in Get Low.

14-year-old actor Chandler Riggs is best-known for playing creepy Carl Grimes on the wildly popular zombie apocalypse series The Walking Dead, but soon he'll play a kid terrorized by the living in the aptly titled home invasion thriller Home Invasion. There's no word yet on who will play the home invaders. Chandler Riggs has joined the upcoming thriller Home Invasion.

The Walking Dead star will be joined by Ioan Gruffudd in the Sean Carter-directed film, states The Hollywood Reporter.

Bella Thorne and Natalie Martinez will also star in the movie, with a script from Joseph Dembner.

Home Invasion is centred around a family who find themselves imprisoned by intruders who play games with strange rules throughout the night.

Riggs and Thorne will play the family siblings, while Gruffudd and Martinez will play the father and stepmother.

The child actor is best known for playing Rick Grimes's (Andrew Lincoln) son Carl in AMC's The Walking Dead, while Gruffudd recently had roles in Glee and Castle.

Following this week's announcement that the Disney Channel's family show 'Shake It Up!' will not be renewed for a fourth season it didn't take long for young star Bella Thorne (below) to get herself signed up on a new project. 'Home Invasion' is the new horror project, with the self explanatory title, from newcomer Sean Carter which will mark his feature debut. 'Home Invasion' will revolve around a family whom are being held captive by some unruly home intruders. The Voltage Pictures production was penned by Joseph Dembner with the Thorne being lined up to play the role of Jamie, 'a disillusioned teenager with a secret.'...

The first bit of casting news for Sean Carter's upcoming thriller Home Invasion has busted in, and it involves a Disney Channel ingenue who's ready to dabble once again in the horror genre.

Per Deadline, "Shake It Up" star Bella Thorne has scored a lead role in Home Invasion, Carter's debut feature about a family imprisoned by intruders who play a life-and-death game in which the mysterious rules become clear as the night unfolds. Thorne (who previously appeared in horror films Forget Me Not, Craw Lake, and The Seer) will play Jamie, a disillusioned teenager intensely guarding a personal secret.

Voltage Pictures is financing the project, written by first-time scribe and co-producer Joseph Dembner, and producing with Silver Pictures’ low-budget label Zinc Entertainment. Silver Pictures’ Andrew Rona and Alex Heineman will produce with Voltage’s Nicolas Chartier and Craig Flores. Joel Silver, Steve Richards, and Michael Fiore will exec produce.

Bella Thorne, best known for her work on Disney Channel series Shake It Up, is to play a lead role in thriller Home Invasion.

Having recently finished production on the Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore comedy Blended, Thorne has been cast as Jamie - a disenchanted teen who guards a personal secret.

Although most of the plot has been kept under wraps, it is understood that the story involves a family who is imprisoned in their own home by intruders who toy with their lives.

Sean Carter will make his directorial debut with the project. It will be written by Joseph Dembner and produced by Silver Pictures.

With titles like The Purge and You're Next getting a lot of attention in Hollywood lately, it was only a matter of time before more home invasion themed movies got announced. Enter Home Invasion from director Sean Carter, who'll be working from a script by Joseph Dembner.

Voltage Pictures is teaming up with Joel Silver’s Zinc Entertainment to fund the aptly named horror flick, Home Invasion. The home invasion subgenre of horror is gaining in popularity, as The Purge and You’Re Next’s impending release attests.

While the plot is being kept a secret, the title of the film paints a pretty clear picture of what it’s going to be about. According to Deadline, “the story involves a family imprisoned in their own home by intruders who play a life-and-death game in which the mysterious rules become clear as the night unfolds.”

The script comes from Joseph Dembner, and will be directed by Sean Carter. Joel Silver, Andrew Rona and Silver Pictures’ Alex Heineman will produce, along with Voltage Pictures’ Nicolas Chartier and Craig Flores.

Exclusive: Voltage Pictures has committed to finance Home Invasion, a thriller developed by Silver Pictures’ low budget label Zinc entertainment. The plot is being kept under wraps, but the title offers clues aplenty. The script was written by neophyte Joseph Dembner and will be directed by first-timer Sean Carter. After hatching the concept with Silver Pictures’ Alex Heineman, Dembner wrote the screenplay on spec. Joel Silver, Andrew Rona and Heineman will produce. After the Home Invasion script was turned in, those producers shot a test scene which Carter directed and then shopped it. Voltage’s Nicolas Chartier and Craig Flores sparked to it, and they also will be producers. Dembner is co-producer, and Silver’s Steve Richards will be exec producer with Michael Fiore.

Variety reports that after succeeding with micro-budget comedy Project X, Silver Pictures is looking to duplicate the formula with found footage-type thriller Home Invasion.

Joseph Dembner is writing the script about a dysfunctional family that falls victim to mysterious and sinister home intruders.

The movie is being developed internally and will be produced by Joel Silver, Andrew Rona, and Alex Heineman. No studio is involved yet, but the film will be financed independently and start shooting next year. Silver Pictures, which exec-produced Project X, is out to several directors.
