Streaming Ratings: ‘Wednesday’ and ‘King of the Hill’ Score Big Premieres
Image
Netflix only offered half of Wednesday’s second season with the show’s return in early August, but that was more than enough to secure a big opening in the U.S. streaming charts.

The Addams Family-inspired series logged 3.75 billion minutes of viewing for the week of Aug. 4-10. That’s the second largest single-week total for any streaming title on the Nielsen charts in 2025, behind only the 4.6 billion minutes for Squid Game in the first week of the year. The 3.75 billion is also behind the massive opening week for season one of Wednesday in November 2022 (just under 6 billion minutes), but that figure was for the full season and came over the Thanksgiving holiday, when TV viewing is considerably higher than in early August. (The second half of Wednesday’s season debuted on Sept. 3.)

King of the Hill also had a big return, drawing 1.21 billion viewing minutes on Hulu...

SNL Season 51: How Much Does the Cast Get Paid?
Image
Saturday Night Live (SNL) has been a Saturday night tradition since the mid-70s, blending satire with goofy sketches that leave viewers quoting punchlines for weeks. Born in 1975 from the mind of Lorne Michaels, the NBC show has been the launchpad for some of the brightest comedic stars in Hollywood. The alumni list feels like a comedy hall of fame—Amy Poehler, Tina Fey, Jimmy Fallon, Bill Murray, Seth Meyers, and so many others who gained early experience under the bright studio lights before heading off to bigger stages.

Now gearing up for Season 51, the show isn’t slowing down. Alongside its returning faces, it’s introducing a fresh wave of talent.

Why Please Don't Destroy Left SNL
Image
Another era of pre-taped "Saturday Night Live" sketches is coming to a close with news that Please Don't Destroy, the heir apparent to The Lonely Island, is ... destroyed.

Okay, "destroyed" is dramatic, but I had to — and to be blunt, two of the comedians are still involved with "SNL." Amidst news of exits — like those of Emil Wakim and Michael Longfellow — and new cast additions like chaotic "Dropout" standout Jeremy Culhane, we learned that Ben Marshall, one of the three members of "Please Don't Destroy," is becoming a featured player as a part of the "SNL" cast for season 51. According to a report in Vulture, which also learned the group...

Everything You Need To Know About SNL's New Season 51 Cast Members
Image
"Saturday Night Live" is really shaking things up for season 51. Following the star-studded 50th anniversary season that just wrapped up in spring 2025, several cast members will not be returning to the show, ranging from the more recent addition Michael Longfellow to longtime performer Heidi Gardner. However, that's not stopping showrunner Lorne Michaels from bringing in some new talent to the late night sketch show.

NBC just announced the newest members of the "SNL" cast for the upcoming 51st season. Five new comedians are being added to the roster, including one who "SNL" fans will already be quite familiar with.

Ben Marshall has joined the cast of "SNL" as a featured player,...

There Were Signs That Please Don’t Destroy Was Coming To An End On ‘SNL’
Image
As Ben Marshall, one of the co-founders of comedy troupe Please Don’t Destroy, joins the full-time cast of Saturday Night Live, the move marks an end to one of the NBC’s shows most viral groups.

As Deadline reported with the cast additions, the trio are going separate ways when it comes to SNL; Martin Herlihy will stay on as a writer and John Higgins is going to focus on acting outside SNL.

But there were signs this was going to happen in some shape.

The trio radically reduced the amount of videos they produced for the show last year. Across 21 episodes they produced six, including ones featuring hosts such as Charli Xcx, Jon Hamm and Mikey Madison. This was considerably down on the 10 they produced in Season 49 and the 11 they produced in Season 48. It was even lower than their first year on the show, where they got seven videos on.

Warwick Davis at an event for Harry Potter et le Prince de sang-mêlé (2009)
HBO’s highly anticipated ‘Harry Potter’ series is officially bringing a familiar face back to Hogwarts. Warwick Davis, who portrayed the beloved Charms Master Filius Flitwick across all eight original films, will reprise his role in the new adaptation. While Davis was double-billed in the films as both Flitwick and goblin banker Griphook, this time he’ll focus solely on the former, with actor Leigh Gill stepping in to play Griphook.

Joining Davis on the Hogwarts faculty are Sirine Saba as Herbology Professor Pomona Sprout, Richard Durden as the ghostly History of Magic teacher Professor Cuthbert Binns, and Bríd Brennan as the ever-reliable school nurse Madam Poppy Pomfrey.

Doug Liman at an event for Great Directors (2009)
Doug Liman, the director behind high-octane hits like ‘The Bourne Identity’ and ‘Mr. & Mrs. Smith,’ has signed on to helm ‘Killing Satoshi,’ a conspiracy thriller that dives deep into the mythos surrounding Nakamoto and why the answer to his identity could destabilise the global power structure.

Leading the cast are Oscar winner Casey Affleck (Manchester by the Sea) and comedian-turned-actor Pete Davidson (The King of Staten Island). The project is keeping its character roles under tight wraps, but the pairing suggests a mix of tense drama and unexpected edge.

Satoshi Nakamoto is one of the most mysterious names in modern history — the pseudonymous creator of Bitcoin whose identity has never been confirmed.

‘SNL’ Bloodbath? Hardly. Lorne Michaels’ Annual Cast Exits Occur as Regularly as ‘Weekend Update’
Image
At “Saturday Night Live,” there’s drama before you get to the comedy.

Every year at about this time, credulous observers of the venerable late-night NBC showcase get flustered by a series of cast changes that roll out about four to six weeks ahead of the next season premiere of the program. Sometimes, “SNL” just adds a few featured players. In other years, a good chunk of cast veterans opt to depart. At some points in time, cost constraints or network edicts have forced executive producer Lorne Michaels to make personnel moves he might not otherwise wish to put into practice.

The increase in hand-wringing around the process, which has become an ingrained element of the “SNL” calendar, is more humorous than some of “SNL’s” skits.

In recent days, three young members of the “SNL” cast — featured player Emil Wakim and early-tenured Devon Walker and Michael Longfellow — have announced their exits from the show,...

Elsie Hewitt & Pete Davidson: Are They Expecting? A Juicy Look at Her Dating History, Pregnancy, and Life Now!
Elsie Hewitt
When it comes to romance, Elsie Hewitt has definitely had a headline-worthy roster. Before her current chapter with Pete Davidson, the London-born model was best known for her brief but tumultuous relationship with Ryan Phillippe back in 2017, which ended amidst public legal drama and allegations of assault that were ultimately settled out of court.

After Phillippe, Elsie dated music producer Benny Blanco from 2019 to 2020—this time the breakup was far less dramatic. More recently, rumors linked her to Jason Sudeikis in early 2024, but nothing was ever confirmed by either star.

Elsie first started making news with Pete Davidson in March 2025, quickly becoming one of the most-watched couples in celebrity news.

Saturday Night Live continues to overhaul its cast ahead of season 51. News broke that Michael Longfellow will not return, coming as a bit of a surprise to some fans who thought big things were in the performer's future. However, the writing was on the wall throughout season 50.

Pete Davidson and Casey Affleck Team Up With Doug Liman on Bitcoin Thriller Film ‘Killing Satoshi’ (Exclusive)
Image
Satoshi Nakamoto is a man whose very existence remains hotly debated. Now the Bitcoin creator is getting the big-screen treatment.

Doug Liman has signed on to direct “Killing Satoshi,” a conspiracy thriller that looks to unravel one of the most enduring mysteries of the 21st century: the secret identity of Nakamoto and why the answer threatens the global power structure. Oscar winner Casey Affleck (“Manchester by the Sea”) and Pete Davidson (“The King of Staten Island”) will star in the film, with their character descriptions being kept under wraps.

Nick Schenk, who has collaborated with Clint Eastwood on two of his more recent movies — “Gran Torino” and “The Mule” — wrote the screenplay, which traces an elite cabal’s diabolical plans to make sure that the truth never surfaces.

“Killing Satoshi” marks the mainstream Hollywood return of Ryan Kavanaugh, the high-flying Relativity Media chief who financed such films as “The Social Network,...

Ron Perlman has done the unthinkable. The actor's underrated sci-fi movie, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, was able to temporarily take the No. 1 spot from KPop Demon Hunters on Netflix.

According to FlixPatrol, Rise of the Beasts was the No. 1 movie on Netflix in the United States on Aug. 26 and Aug. 27, sending KPop Demon Hunters down to second place. However, as of today, KPop Demon Hunters has reclaimed the top spot and is even making a play for No. 2, with its Sing-along version currently sitting at No. 3. Comedians Offer Justifications for Fat Saudi Arabian Paychecks
Image
There’s a dizzying array of comics lined up for the Riyadh Comedy Festival this month, an impressive roster that includes Dave Chappelle, Pete Davidson, Bill Burr, Kevin Hart, Sam Morril, Whitney Cummings, Louis C.K. and Tom Segura.

While the gig undoubtedly pays well, the optics are terrible. Critics point out that Saudi Arabia uses golf tournaments and entertainment festivals to draw attention away from human rights abuses. And comedians will likely be muzzled during their performances. “Saudi Arabia is known for limiting freedom of expression when it comes to the arts,” says Deadline, “typically dictating on the offer sheet, per multiple agents, what cannot be said on topics like religion,...

Is Lorne Michaels Really Only Getting Rid of the Hot ‘SNL’ Cast Members?

I like to imagine that Lorne Michaels is opening up this article with the kind of huff and eye-roll typically reserved for a 13-year-old girl who isn’t afraid to yell at her parents. “Hot people?” he mutters under his breath. “Who gives a fuck?” Decades of dedicated myth-building to become one of the most powerful people in comedy, and now there are hordes of people with appalling screen-time stats accusing the television legend of being “allergic to serving.”

But that’s where we’re at after the departures of both Emil Wakim and Devon Walker on Saturday Night Live. Not only are the first announced departures both people of color,...

Stars: Pete Davidson, John Glover, Mary Beth Peil, Bruce Altman, Ethan Phillips, Jessica Hecht, Victor Williams | Written by James DeMonaco, Adam Cantor | Directed by James DeMonaco

While he has been working since the mid-90s, with his first credit being for co-writing Francis Ford Coppola’s Jack, writer/director James DeMonaco is best known for creating an enduring horror franchise in The Purge. After passing the directorial torch onto other creatives, DeMonaco stepped away from the series for 2021’s drama This is the Night, and now returns to the horror genre. He may be best associated with a high-concept franchise, but The Home is a more confined affair.

Eenie Meanie Review: Samara Weaving is a getaway driver in this fun heist thriller

Plot: An irreverent high-speed thriller follows a former teenage getaway driver who is dragged back into her unsavory past when a previous employer offers her the chance to save the life of her chronically unreliable ex-boyfriend.

Review: If I had a choice between the over-the-top theatricality of The Fast Saga and The Italian Job or the more grounded world of Drive, Ronin, or The Usual Suspects, I would take the latter every time. While Baby Driver is a rare blend of both, Edgar Wright’s film skews more unbelievable than believable. The Home (2025) Review
Image
Opening Frightfest this year is the UK Premiere of The Home, from director James DeMonaco – a name fans may recognise as creator of popular horror franchise The Purge.

Pete Davidson of SNL fame returns to horror after dipping his toe in 2022’s comedy slasher Bodies Bodies Bodies. This time, Davidson’s role is expanded from minor ‘token B list celebrity’ character to leading role in this geriatric genre piece.

Despite reportedly spending an estimated $200’000 in recent years lasering away his own famous inkings, Pete plays the troubled, tattooed Max, sentenced to complete a period of community service in a retirement home in return for his latest brush with the law.

The Home Review – FrightFest 2025
Image
Maybe it’s the bulging eyes, or his dark-hearted, dopey sense of humour, but there’s an edge to Pete Davidson that makes him a perfect genre movie stooge. A loveable fuck-up who takes whatever progressively hideous situation he finds himself in totally in his stride. Never overwhelmed, even by the very gnarliest of plot twists.

Which is likely why The Purge’s James DeMonaco has bet so big on the stand-up in The Home. Not just casting Davidson front and centre in this, the director’s first stab at horror in the best part of a decade, but seemingly building the entire movie around him too. A low-rent, almost...

The project stems from a script penned by Will Dunn and, if deals go through, it will be designed around Momoa as the star with Leitch in line to potentially direct. Talks are still ongoing at this time, though, with Momoa negotiating to produce through his On the Roam banner and Leitch joining Kelly McCormick through their 87North Productions.

Rebel Ridge and Green Room director Jeremy Saulnier is ready to team up with two of Hollywood’s hottest up-and-coming stars, as Chase Sui Wonders and Sophie Wilde, join the cast of the filmmaker’s latest feature, October.

Saulnier’s new project is from A24, though the filmmaker and the studio remain tight-lipped about plot and character details. Jason Momoa is now in talks to join forces with John Wick director David Leitch for a wild new action thriller. The Home review – Pete Davidson gets spooky with retirement-facility horror
Pete Davidson
Davidson stars as a convict doing community service in a home for older people, in a film that falls short on internal logic and feels like a subpar Get Out

In this retirement home horror, Pete Davidson plays Max, a graffiti artist who must work in a plush-yet-spooky facility as part of his community service. This deal is worked out by his foster father as a last-ditch effort to keep him out of prison; he’s been spiralling towards the drain since the death of his older foster brother, who apparently killed himself, and whose memory haunts Max’s dreams.

You don’t cast Davidson for his everyman qualities as he’s not quite your average Joe; he’s much more plausible as, say, a TikTok star or a charismatic drug dealer. He’s also become something of an avatar for youth, one of those thirtysomethings that can credibly evoke...

The 30-year-old comedian and actor opened up about the situation during a new interview with The Breakfast Club, where he also discussed his sobriety and life in the spotlight.

“I canceled Bupkis and I got in trouble for it ’cause I didn’t— I love that show, I loved doing Bupkis, I had a blast, thank you [host Charlamagne tha God] for being in it,” Pete shared.

“It just got to a point where I got really tired of my whole career just being my personal life, and living through that is sort of traumatic — not to be lame — but it’s traumatic to live in your own crap all the time.”

Pete Davidson Says NBCUniversal “Not Pleased” After He Ended Bupkis
Pete Davidson
Pete Davidson says he ended Peacock’s Bupkis despite a Season 2 renewal and that the move briefly put him “in purgatory” with NBCUniversal, describing the company’s reaction as “not pleased.” In a new radio interview, the comedian said he “got in trouble” after deciding the semi-autobiographical show kept dragging his real life into the spotlight, adding that a proposed creative direction made him uncomfortable. He also said he covered costs for staff affected by the decision: “I took care of the writers’ room and anyone who didn’t get paid that needed to.”

The remarks clarify a March 2024 announcement that halted the series after one season, less than a year after it had been picked up for more episodes. At the time, Davidson framed the choice as closing a chapter, while thanking collaborators and the network. Bupkis premiered May 4, 2023, and followed a heightened version of his life, with Edie Falco...

Image
Pete Davidson is reflecting on the time he was in “trouble” with NBCUniversal over the cancellation of his semi-autobiographical dramedy Bupkis on Peacock.

In a sprawling interview conducted recently with The Breakfast Club, the Saturday Night Live alum candidly discussed everything from his sobriety to the tabloid fixation on his personal life. He also touched on his choice to end Bupkis after one season last year, which he said at the time was informed by wanting “a chance to tell my story my way” after having “nearly a decade of my personal life being in the media.”

“I canceled Bupkis and I got in trouble for it ’cause I didn’t— I love that show, I loved doing Bupkis, I had a blast, thank you [host Charlamagne tha God] for being in it,” he began. “It just got to a point where I got really tired of my whole career just being my personal life,...

I Feel Bad for the Pete Davidson Bde Commentary Now
Image
When I first started as a full-time blogger back in 2018, Pete Davidson was one of the most clicked-on names on the internet. He was dating Ariana Grande, he was the mystique of Saturday Night Live and he had gotten the title of having “Big Dick Energy.” Without fail, writing a story about Davidson’s latest exploits would get the highest engagement on the site. And we were also publishing stories about immigration raids, abortion rights and the first Donald Trump administration.

But when you’re a media darling, it’s very easy to get dehumanized. The publication I worked for at the time, The Cut, was instrumental in circulating the “Bde” moniker for Davidson. And while Davidson was open about not loving the nickname back then, he opened up more on a recent episode of The Breakfast Club about the impact it had.

First, he started by saying that his...

Pete Davidson Reveals One Tattoo He's Keeping Amid Removal Process
Image
Pete Davidson is sharing an update on his tattoo removal process.

Over the years, the 31-year-old actor and comedian accumulated more than 200 tattoos, but has decided to get rid of almost all of them.

In a new interview, Pete confirmed the one tattoo he definitely plans on keeping.

Keep reading to find out more…While appearing on The Breakfast Club Power 105.1, Pete admitted that his “feelings changed” about the large amount of tattoos he got done “in a span of two years” in his early 20s, admitting that he’s not a fan of them now that he’s older.

“My tattoos sucked. They were all drug-fueled,” Pete, who is now sober, said, explaining that his time in rehab ultimately gave him second thoughts about his tattoos.

“I just looked at myself in rehab for the first time when I was sober and was just like, ‘Oh no. What did I do’?” he recalled thinking.

Pete Davidson Says He Made ‘SNL’ Feel ‘Tabloid-y’
Image
Is “tabloid” era of “Saturday Night Live” over? Pete Davidson thinks so. The sketch series alum said during a recent appearance on “The Breakfast Club” radio show, which you can watch in the below video, that his own celebrity status helped make “SNL” more of a “trendy” show during his tenure. Davidson joined the cast at age 20 in 2014 and stayed for eight seasons, departing in 2022.

Davidson explained that the “SNL” brass as a “whole loved” that “people are talking about” the series, in part due to his own highly publicized personal life. “I brought a lot of pop culture into the show. I made it sort of a tabloid-y, trendy thing, unintentionally,” Davidson said, adding, “I don’t want someone on YouTube to be like, ‘Motherfucker thinks he’s the reason.’”

The actor also shared he felt “embarrassed” to be less experienced than his co-stars, many of whom were “10, 15 years...

Pete Davidson Admits He’s “Embarrassed” by Media’s Focus on His “Big Dick Energy”
Image
Pete Davidson has had just about enough of the constant conversation about his dick.

The actor and comedian opened up to Charlamange Tha God on a recent episode of The Breakfast Club about feeling “embarrassed” by the media’s obsession with his alleged “big dick energy” during the early years of his career as a cast member of Saturday Night Live. The attention was exacerbated after his ex-girlfriend, pop star Ariana Grande, joked in a deleted tweet that Davidson is “Like 10 inches?” after a fan asked about the length of a song entitled “Pete Davidson” on her then-forthcoming 2018 album, Sweetener.

“I was embarrassed by it because… no one talked about any work I was doing,” he revealed. “They were just like, ‘Oh, that’s the f— stick.’ And that hurt so much.”

When Charlamange challenged Davidson’s claims (“You was banging a lot of hot chicks and you had a...

Pete Davidson Thinks He Might Have Been “Annoying” to ‘SNL’ Cast: “I Did Rub People the Wrong Way”
Image
Pete Davidson was just 20 years old when he was cast on Saturday Night Live in 2014. Looking back now, he says that due to his lack of comedy experience, he may have rubbed some of the castmembers the wrong way.

“You got to remember, everyone there did Second City, improv, worked so hard,” Davidson said while appearing on Wednesday’s The Breakfast Club radio show. “I’m not saying I didn’t work hard, but I was only doing comedy for three, four years.”

Despite his fears, Davidson clarified that no one from the show “was outrightly mean” to him and none of his former co-stars have publicly said they believe he didn’t deserve the gig.

Davidson said he saw himself as this “kid from Staten Island that’s just talking shit.” Meanwhile, many of his SNL co-stars were “10, 15 years older than me and working so hard.”

He also said...

Pete Davidson Calls Out Media for Objectifying Him Over Size of His Manhood
Image
Pete Davidson says he found it “embarrassing” for the media to discuss the size of his manhood.

The discourse surrounding Pete‘s size started back in 2018 after his former girlfriend Ariana Grande tweeted a joke about it.

A fan had tweeted “how long is pete???” While the fan was referring to the song about him, Ariana responded in a much different way. “like 10 inches? …oh f–k…i mean…like a lil over a minute,” she tweeted back, though the tweet was later deleted.

Years later, Pete said he “thought that was super weird” that Ariana commented on his “Bde.”

Now, Pete is calling out the media for continuing the discourse after all of these years, especially after he dated many of Hollywood’s hottest women.

Keep reading to find out more…

“I was embarrassed by it,” Pete said on The Breakfast Club podcast. “No one talked about any work I was doing.
