Is a published food writer for numerous magazines, and has made multiple television appearances as guest chef on such shows as The Talk (2010) and Home & Family (1996).

On 5/4/16 married her partner of 18 months, Michael Cooney. The couple has been in a relationship since December 2014 and have a daughter, Jemma Kate Collins Cooney (b. 1/23/16). She was 44 at the time of her daughter's birth.

Is the oldest of five children, including brothers Chad and Zachary Capogna, who are fraternal twins, a brother Justin Capogna and one sister Olivia Capogna.
