- In his autobiography "My Wicked, Wicked Ways" Errol Flynn says he met Linda Welter in a Mexico City bar and took her to Acapulco. She told him she had never been to the US and wanted to go. He offered a contract and, after she got to Hollywood, paid Dr. Bill Wallace to fix her teeth. Flynn had once played Fletcher Christian, and changed her name to Linda Christian.
