  • According to her autobiography, when she met Clark Gable at a dinner he spoke mainly of hunting and killing animals. She was so disgusted that she left the table.
  • Accoding to her autobiography, she had a short relationship with Rory Calhoun that ended when she discovered Calhoun had a boyfriend. Relations between her and Calhoun eventually deteriorated to the point where he fired a gun at her.
  • In 1967 her longtime boyfriend, Donald Scott, sued her to recover assets that he had placed under her name to hide them from his wife in a divorce battle.
  • In 1952 she filed a lawsuit accusing Zsa Zsa Gabor of slander for telling several people, including a newspaper columnist, that she was not really French.
  • Said she once fended off attempted rapes by Columbia Pictures head Harry Cohn and producer Hal B. Wallis.
  • Her parents, (Comte) Pierre Dibos and Juliette Munier Dibos) were chemists involved in the creation of Sibor, better known as Pyrex.
  • Discovered by Paramount Pictures, which brought her to the US.
  • Left the entertainment industry in the 1970s for a career as a therapist.
  • Studied criminal law at the Sorbonne before becoming an actress.
  • Wrote a 1983 memoir, called "Has Corinne Been a Good Girl?" in which she said Hollywood studios put her in roles that never tapped her acting ability.
  • While working on Jerry Lewis' Le dingue du Palace (1960), shot in Miami Beach, FL, Gloria DeHaven came on the set. She complained and was dropped from the film, which deleted all scenes that included or referred to her.
  • Has one child, a son.
  • In her autobiography she says that when she met Orson Welles, he wanted to date her because she had a strong resemblance to Rita Hayworth, who had left Welles some months earlier. When she told him that she was NOT Hayworth and would not become her for Welles' benefit, he dismissed her.

  • Took her acting name from a brand of French wine.
