- The "Q" stands for Quenton, his first name.
- Nephew of director Lino Brocka.
- On Guam, Brocka discovered a love for filmmaking. With VHS Camcorders in the 1980s, he produced movies with Legos and other toys. Then he asked kids in his apartment to create TV shows with him.
