Directed "Sweeney Todd" musical by Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler from an adaptation by Christopher Bond (Chicago Lyric Opera, Chicago, Illinois, USA).
He was awarded the A.O. (Officer of the Order of Australia) in the 2007 Queen's New Years Honours List for his services to the arts, nationally and internationally, as a director of theatre, opera and film, and as a promoter of innovative Australian productions including Australian Indigenous drama.
