In his Modern Talking days, he used to wear a noticeable necklace with the name "Nora" in bolt letters. His then-wife, who was notoriously possessive, forced him to wear it so the fans would know that he was not single.

Also known as a performing solo artist. He went on his own solo tour throughout foreign countries, like Kapstadt, Johannesburg, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taipei, Santiago de Chile, Moscow, etc. He has performed in front of as many as 85,000 enthusiastic fans.

Also known as a music producer. He worked with IT-girls, T-Seven (ex-Mr President), TEARs, participants of the 'Big Brother' TV show and several German artists. With his projects he got #1 hits in Germany, Latin America and Russia.

Also known as a composer. Wrote songs for himself, Modern Talking, Engelbert Humperdink, Three Degrees, No Angels, T-Seven (ex-Mr President) and other artists. Composed music for several movies, such as "Stockholm Marathon" and "Phantomschmerz".

Has a son, Alexander Mick Weidung, born at 19:24 on June 27, 2002.

His parents were Helga and Peter Weidung.

He has one brother Achim and one sister Tania.

He is again working on a solo career. The first album after the 2nd Modern Talking breakup is out in the end of February 2004. (février 2004)

In 2021, Thomas participated in the 4th season of "Masked Singer Germany" in the costume of the Turtle and ranked 4th.

He originally started a solo career as a pop singer, with all of his songs being in German. When it didn't work out, Dieter Bohlen, who had written and produced songs for him, suggested that they should team up as a duo, but this time with English songs. This led to the creation of their band Modern Talking.
