(7/22)Tom Hanks adapted his collection of short stories "Uncommon Type" for the stage. "Safe Home" premiered in June 2022 at the Shadow land Stages in the Catskills region of New York State. Hanks personally oversaw the production that featuredTimothy Busfield and James Riordan The production was called "Triumphant" by the NY Times. Attending opening night were Marcia Gay Harden, Melissa Gilbert and Tom Hanks.
