In October, 1926, she was named as an "other woman" in a divorce trial between Mr. and Mrs. Hulette C. Merritt Jr. John Campbell, Merritt's former personal chauffeur and pilot, testified that he flew his employer to Los Angeles to spend time with Zann in a hotel suite. Another woman, Marjorie Stubblefield, was also identified as one of Merritt's mistresses.
