Biographie

Character actor and comedian, on stage from the 1910's. In films from 1933, usually as bucolic Bavarian types. A street in Munich was named in his memory in 1964.

The actor Wastl Witt began his professional career as a pitman before he developed his interest into acting by appearances on some amateur stages.

He became established as a comedian and he appeared together with the famous comedian Weiss-Ferdl in the 10s.

He continued his career as a stage actor and movie actor after the war.

Besides his activity as an actor he also spoke many roles for radio plays.
