Pert, brunette singer and dancer who graced several 1930's British comedies. She was the daughter of Winnifred Ward, a noted music hall artist and male impersonator. She was trained at the Italia Conti School and made her theatrical debut in 1924.

Niece of Gus McNaughton - he was married to her mother Winnifred Ward's sister Charlotte Poluski.

Interviewed in Fanfare Film magazine in the late 1930s, Polly Ward cited Carole Lombard, Claudette Colbert, James Cagney, Spencer Tracy, and William Powell as her favorite stars.
