The 2023–2024 TV season was certainly an odd one. With the writers strike and then the actors strike throughout the summer and fall of 2023, it made it much harder to get our favorite shows back. Most of them were held for the midseason, but others were able to get fall slots.

Per Variety, Anne Rice's Interview with the Vampire has officially been renewed for Season 3. This will continue to further flesh out what the network is calling the "Anne Rice Immortal Universe," joined by Anne Rice's Mayfair Witches, which also has a second season in the works. A third series, Anne Rice's The Talamasca, is in development as well. These were good signs that AMC has been happy with how the shows have been doing, so the renewal is not a major surprise.

It follows a previously released trailer, divulging new footage of the upcoming episodes. While the Part 2 trailer shows them kiss, the teaser also reveals that Anna will uncover some dark truths about Siobhan. “You’re a monster,” Roberts says to her in the trailer. “Oh no, babe. I’m so much worse,” Kardashian promises.

The series, part of a growing Anne Rice universe at AMC, is set to begin its second season on May 12. Season two, which the cable network ordered before the series premiere, finished filming in 2023 after receiving a waiver from SAG-AFTRA to continue production in Europe during the actors strike.

AMC Networks finally announced the release date for the highly-anticipated Interview with the Vampire Season 2, which is part of its expanding Anne Rice’s Immortal Universe.

Posted on X, AMC confirmed that its series adaptation of Interview with the Vampire will officially be returning on May 12, 2024 for its second installment. This comes after over a year since the supernatural drama had made its series debut, which received mostly positive reviews from critics and audiences alike, who praised the main cast’s incredible chemistry. In addition, AMC has also revealed that David Costabile (Breaking Bad), Roxan Duran (The White Ribbon) and Bally Gill (Slow Horses) have been enlisted to join the Season 2 cast. They are set to play the respective roles of Leonard, Madeleine and Rashid. Per Deadline, new photos of Season 2 have also been unveiled, including new looks at Louis, Claudia, Armand, Daniel Molloy, and Lestat.
