Besame Mucho Festival is returning to Austin. On Tuesday, the music festival announced that Peso Pluma, Carin León, and Pepe Aguilar will be among the main performers at the Mexican music-focused festival, scheduled for April 5 at Circuit of the Americas.

Hombres G, Enanitos Verdes, Molotov, Moenia, Magento, and Camila are among the rock bands scheduled to perform at the festival. Los Tigres Del Norte, Bronco, Banda Ms, Banda el Recodo, and Ramón Ayala are returning to the festival after performing last year.

Pull up in a Ford Fiesta blanco: Hombres G are going on tour. On Tuesday, the Spanish rock band behind classics including “Devuélveme a Mi Chica,” announced that they’ll be heading on the road to celebrate the 40-year anniversary of their formation.

The 14-stop arena tour — co-produced by Live Nation and Frias Entertainment — will see the group start in Texas, before heading to Miami, Orlando, New York, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles. They’ll wrap their tour back in El Paso on July 13.

Before Thalia was the long-running queen of Latin pop, she was a superfan.

The Mexican multihyphenate, known for a three-decade career as a singer and a telenovela star, has always been an avid music listener with a love for legendary rock en español bands like Soda Stereo, Maldita Vecindad, and Hombres G. Some of those influences have made it into her music over the years, but on her new Paramount+ series Thalia’s Mixtape, El Soundtrack De Mi Vida, she fully dives in and pays tributes to all the sounds that shaped her.

If last year’s Bésame Mucho lineup was a Latino mom’s cleaning playlist, this year’s festival is that plus a Latino dad’s go-to songs on his way to work. On Tuesday, Bésame Mucho announced the lineup — including headliners Maná, Los Bukis, and Gloria Trevi — for its second consecutive festival.

Hosted at Dodger Stadium on Dec. 2, the massive festival is set to return with a stellar list of performers, including Alejandro Fernández, Pepe Aguilar, Natalia Lafourcade, Reik, Camila, and Belinda. It also features a number of returning acts from last year’s celebration.

Tapping a widely successful genre, Sony Pictures Int’l Productions (Spip) is producing the musical romantic comedy “Voy a pasarmelo bien” (“I’m Going to Have A Good Time”) in association with transatlantic production powerhouse, El Estudio and Spanish pop rock band Hombres G.

The film is inspired by the music of the iconic band which rose to prominence in the ‘80s with their Beatles and British new wave-influenced music.

Based in Madrid, Hombres G is formed by David Summers, Dani Mezquita, Rafa Gutiérrez and Javi Molina who have published 12 studio albums to date and sold more than 20 million records internationally. Among their multiple achievements are an Honorary Grammy Award from the Latin Recording Academy and Spain’s Gold Medal to the Fine Arts.

Spip has also acquired the worldwide distribution rights, with Sony Pictures Entertainment Iberia to release the film theatrically in Spain in 2022.
