The Days summer preview showed an image of a cryogenic chamber, and we heard Tony Dimera (Thaao Penghlis) say, “It’s almost time, Father.”

In the world of Salem, cryogenic chambers are used to preserve bodies that have been declared medically dead, but there is hope for a future revival.

Stefano’s return is not out of the realm of possibility. Dool is a soap, and it’s no ordinary daytime drama.

Not to mention, Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (William Utay) is no ordinary doctor. He works for the Dimera family and is known for facilitating multiple resurrections.

Stefano has been brought back from the dead several times.

Days of Our Lives may see a brand new version of Stefano Dimera (Joseph Mascolo). Not sure if this would be what I’m trying to think of the count. Is this going to be Stefano version 3.0 or 4.0? But since Joseph Mascolo is gone, that means it is going to be a new Stefano no matter what if they bring the character back.

My wheels have been turning with all this recent talk about the queen of the night dreams that are plaguing Marin (AnnaLynne McCord). And we’re going to talk about The Phoenix rising again and who it may be.

So, I really don’t think the writers or showrunners would ever do a true recast to replace the late Joseph Mascolo in the role of Stefano. So, not a full recast as a permanent character.

Johnny’s Trial Starts

It doesn’t matter that Susan (Stacy Haiduk) “knows” that Johnny (Carson Boatman) didn’t shoot her Elvis. The courts, for some reason, aren’t dropping their charges. Which means Johnny has to show up. He has to sit there and listen and, eventually, maybe defend himself.

But he’s not alone. He has help. His father, the man he’s accused of shooting, is also his defense attorney. Oh, and his aunt Belle (Martha Madison) is the prosecutor. But that’s Ok, too. Because Ej (Dan Feuerriegel) and Belle are sleeping together. Which makes this a very one big happy family kind of trial.

We’re not even counting that Leo (Greg Rikaart) is on the jury. Leo...

It’s all about The Dimeras this week on Days of our Lives. This week’s three major moments to look out for in Salem all involve a Dimera.

Courtroom Chaos

Johnny’s (Carson Boatman) trial is already off to a rocky start. After Marlena (Deidre Hall) collapsed, the trial was put on hold for her to seek medical attention. But this week, everyone will make their way back to court to decide whether Johnny is innocent or guilty of shooting his father. Everyone is (mostly) certain of Johnny’s innocence, but Ej’s (Dan Feuerriegel) inability to remember is standing in the way.
