James Bond star Alan Cumming has revealed the "nightmare" stunt accident that led to an actual injury on the set of GoldenEye. The Traitors host had a breakthrough performance as villainous computer hacker Boris Grishenko in Pierce Brosnan's first outing as 007 in 1995.

Cumming looked back on GoldenEye in an interview with Vanity Fair, where he revealed Grishenko's infamous death scene was painful to film. Grishenko meets a gruesome end as he's trying to hijack the world's satellites on behalf of Bond's enemies, the Janus crime syndicate, before he's frozen to death by a vat of computer coolant.

Ryan would always play as Bond villain Alec Trevelyan (which bummed me out because he was one of the few pop culture figures with the same name as me). Goldeneye: a mostly triumphant return for James Bond after an extended absence. Far from perfect but its flaws are overwhelmed by the sheer brio of the whole thing, especially once former Bond bestie Alec Trevelyan finally shows up. The reliance on gadgets is just about right (the exploding pen got a Skyfall namecheck) and the action is reliably entertaining. At least provided you can enjoy a tank chase through Moscow - which this writer certainly can.
