Derek Hough will be adding a new job to his Dancing With the Starsgig: host of the long-running entertainment show, Extra!

Premiering September 8th, Hough replaces Billy Bush, who announced his departure in March for Season 32, joining correspondent Terri Seymour and senior correspondent and weekend host Mona Kosar Abdi.

Derek Hough will join the show for its 32nd season, which is set to premiere Sept. 8. The former Dancing With the Stars pro and judge and TV host will take over for Billy Bush, who announced in May that he wouldn’t return after five years.

Syndicated entertainment news series Extra will return for a 32nd season next fall. The half-hour program has been renewed by the Fox Televisions Stations, which has been the daily newsmagazine’s anchor station group for the past six seasons.

Terms of the renewal have not been disclosed. There has been chatter that it is an all-barter deal, but sources indicate that it may be cash-plus-barter.

While Extra will be back in fall 2025, it is unclear whether Billy Bush will return as host. There has been speculation that he might be leaving after six seasons, but sources said that has not been determined yet. Conversations with Bush about his future on the show are expected to start now that Extra has been renewed.

Extra will be back for a 31st season. The Emmy-winning entertainment news series has been renewed by Fox Televisions Stations and will return this fall. The renewal marks the sixth season of Extra on the Fox stations.

The show, which focuses on breaking entertainment and pop culture news with interviews with newsmakers and celebrities, is led by Billy Bush and a group of correspondents including senior correspondent/weekend co-hosts Melvin Robert and Mona Kosar Abdi, and correspondents Megan Ryte and Terri Seymour.

Helmed by veteran executive producers Theresa Coffino and Jeremy Spiegel, Extra offers a half-hour edition every weekday and an original hour-long weekend installment for 52 weeks a year. The series is produced by Telepictures Productions in association with Warner Bros. Unscripted Television, and is distributed by Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution.

So many celebrities walked the red carpet at The Hollywood Reporter’s Women in Entertainment Gala on Thursday (December 7) in Los Angeles.

The event was hosted at The Beverly Hills Hotel, and it was attended by the likes of Adele, Dua Lipa, Helen Mirren and Camila Cabello. That is barely scratching the surface, too.

There were so many A-List stars at the Variety Power of Women: Los Angeles event and we have so many great photos from the afternoon!

Meghan Markle, Margot Robbie, and Dua Lipa are just some of the stars who stepped out for the event, presented by Lifetime, on Thursday afternoon (November 16) at Mother Wolf restaurant in Los Angeles.

The daytime series will break the 9,000 episode mark with the renewal, which sees it cleared in over 75% of stations across the country.

Speaking to Terri Seymour for ITV's Lorraine, the X Factor judge was asked whether Eric will be following in his father's footsteps.

"100%," Simon said. "He's going to take over [from me].

He’s been having a blast since entering the realm of parenthood last month, and Simon Cowell hinted that he and Lauren Silverman may have a few more kiddos on the agenda.

During his first interview as a father, the “X Factor” stud told “Extra” host Terri Seymour that he “was born to be a dad.”

But Simon wasn’t so sure about how he’d react once Eric was born. “I actually said to Lauren beforehand, ‘What if I like the dogs more than him?’”

Thankfully, Silverman had a solid response- “And she said, ‘You’re gonna be absolutely fine,’ and then literally within seconds of him being born, I got it.”
