- Cool, self-possessed leading lady of the pre-war German cinema, trained under the renowned actress Julia Serda. First appeared on stage in 1934. In films, often seen in worldly or capricious roles. Made a comeback in the 1960's as a villainess in several Edgar Wallace adaptations.
- She continued her career successfully in the 40's and took part in well-known movies like "Quax, der Bruchpilot" (1941), "Die Feuerzangenbowle" (1943), "Paracelsus" (1943) and "Orient-Express" (1944).
