Best known for his memorable appearances in sci-fi and fantasy, notably on Babylon 5 (1993), Star Trek: Voyager (1995), Buffy contre les vampires (1997) and (as the evil General Sarris) in the movie Galaxy Quest (1999). Often in heavy makeup as assorted alien characters. He has also lent his distinctive voice to many video games.

Son of actors Leonard Sachs and Eleanor Summerfield.

Passed away just four days short of his 62nd birthday.

He and his parents Eleanor Summerfield and Leonard Sachs all appeared in Hammer films: Eleanor in The Last Page (1952), Face the Music (1954) and Murder by Proxy (1954), Leonard in La Revanche de Robin des Bois (1954) and Hurler de peur (1961) and Robin in Le Cirque des vampires (1972).

No relation to Andrew "Manuel" Sachs of *Fawlty Towers* fame, despite a popular misconception.
