Upcoming WWE Show Shifted Due to Poor Ticket Sales
Image
WWE’s rise under Vince McMahon has been nothing short of phenomenal, evolving into a global sensation with broadcasts reaching nearly every country. Their events often sell out completely, drawing massive crowds and generating impressive pay-per-view numbers. The last WrestleMania saw over 120,000 attendees, an attendance that most promotions can only dream of.

Despite its immense popularity, even WWE occasionally faces challenges in filling arenas. Recently, they had to relocate a show to a smaller venue to avoid potential losses. WWE planned to organise the May 27th edition of Nxt in Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida, but due to poor ticket sales shifted it to WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, a smaller venue.

Cody Rhodes Never Regretted ‘Disrespecting’ Triple H That the Cerebral Assassin Fully Supported
Image
It has been a roller coaster ride for Cody Rhodes during his second run in WWE so far. After his devastating loss at WrestleMania 41, the American Nightmare returned to get back the WWE Championship and challenge John Cena, starting with a cameo appearance during Saturday Night’s Main Event.

However, the past deeds are still a major talking point for Cody Rhodes. During his time in the Aew, the American Nightmare was known for his anti-wwe words and remarks, which stirred controversy in the wrestling community. While his rise to the ladder of success in WWE is evident, Rhodes is not disappointed about what he said about the company or Triple H in the past.

6 Years Ago Today, Cody Rhodes Insulted Triple H Before Hurting His Own Brother Dustin Rhodes in Aew
Image
When Cody Rhodes first started, most people thought he was a mediocre wrestler who could put on respectable shows in the ring. But as time passed, he developed into one of professional wrestling’s top performers.

The American Nightmare’s heyday was not during his initial stint in WWE, but rather during his tenure in Aew, which is frequently regarded as the start of his explosive career. He faced off against Dustin Rhodes, his older brother, at a pivotal point in Aew, symbolically humiliating Triple H. The wrestling community still has vivid memories of this incredible match.

7 Biggest Nepo Babies in WWE Including Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns
Image
A few weeks ago, John Cena called Cody Rhodes a “nepo baby” in one of the promos before their main event on Night 2 of WrestleMania 41. As most of you know, Cody Rhodes is the son of the late Dusty Rhodes and the brother of Dustin Rhodes (Goldust). This is a family business for him, and there are so many others who come from an even longer line of wrestlers.

To say that the wrestling business is filled with “nepo babies” would be an understatement. And like most jobs, some do very well, but others fail miserably. The talent to climb obstacles matters, despite your lineage. However, there is no substitute for hard work, and sometimes, the right amount of talent, hard work, and nepotism can push you to the top.

Here is a list of the most famous “nepo babies” in the wrestling business, who have not only made a...

The Aew Women’s Champion, “Timeless” Toni Storm, was out next for a Women’s Title Eliminator Match against the red-hot Lady Frost. We opened with back-and-forth holds, strikes and more, before Lady Frost sent Storm tumbling to the outside, capitalizing with a cartwheel on the apron into a cannonball and a handspring on the ring barricade into a moonsault onto the champion. Cody Rhodes’ Neck Tattoo and What Is the Meaning Behind It
Image
Cody Rhodes’ wrestling career has been nothing short of eventful. ‘The American Nightmare’ had to grapple with being the son of Dusty Rhodes and the brother of Dustin Rhodes (Goldust). It wasn’t easy to create a legacy of his own. He had to face dead ends throughout his career(especially during his first WWE run).

Rhodes had to move on from the terrible Stardust character, and shortly after that, he had to get over the disappointment of his WWE career that led him to quit the company. Rhodes found fresh life in Aew, but he had more to face after getting a massive tattoo on his neck in 2020. The tattoo was ridiculed by fans and wrestlers. Why did he get that tattoo? What was the reason behind it?

Cody Rhodes’ tattoo came as a surprise to everyone.

How Cody Rhodes Got the Nickname ‘The American Nightmare’
Image
If you were to recall your younger days watching wrestling, do you remember the impact when wrestlers were called by their nicknames? It was a whole different energy when announcers used to scream fighters’ nicknames before they entered the ring. Whether it’s “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, “The Heartbreak Kid” Shawn Michaels, or “The Tribal Chief” Roman Reigns, these monikers often carry a deeper meaning.

These names do not just happen in a day; most of the time, it’s an acknowledgment of the wrestlers’ in-ring personality and, other times, a call out to a personal history, legacy, or a memorable moment. They become as iconic as the wrestlers when the commentators emphasize it when narrating a match or when fans chant their names. And if we are looking into iconic fighters and their names, one such notable mention would be the legend Cody Rhodes or, better yet, “The American Nightmare.

Chris Jericho Once Brutally Slammed WWE For Disrespecting Veterans Like Sting & Paul Wight aka Big Show: “These Are Guys That Were Kind Of Almost Insulted…”

Chris Jericho Once Took A Dig At WWE For Disrespecting The Icons(Photo Credit –YouTube/Instagram)

It’s no lie that Chris Jericho made his entire career during his stint with WWE. He was one of the most prominent figures during the Attitude Era, and even later, he maintained his superstar status with his mic skills and entertaining persona. However, a few years back, he cut ties with the promotion and joined the rival camp, Aew. Ever since then, he has been vocal about the negatives of his ex-company.

Aew (All Elite Wrestling) was founded in 2019, and Tony Khan serves as its president and CEO. When this promotion was founded, it became a major attraction in the pro wrestling world, and several WWE stars jumped ship. The real shocker was witnessed when veterans like Jericho, Mark Henry, Big Show, and Sting joined Khan’s promotion.

Why is Cody Rhodes’ Family one of the Best Wrestling Families in WWE History?
Image
WWE has been around for several decades. Although the wrestling industry has thrilled fans worldwide, it is indisputable that being in the business is challenging. Notwithstanding the demanding nature of the business, several wrestlers and even families have contributed to the popularity of wrestling as a sport today.

And when it comes to wrestling dynasties, few families can match the Rhodes’ impressive record. From patriarch Dusty Rhodes to his sons (Cody and Dustin Rhodes), this wrestling family has left an indelible mark on the world of professional wrestling.

Having said that, the Rhodes family has a long history in professional wrestling, and its members risk everything in the ring to uphold that reputation. Cody Rhodes is already possibly superior to both his father and brother in terms of performance. The youngest son of ‘The American Dream’ rose to fame in 2006 when he began working for WWE.

“Your own daughters are 20 years apart”: Dwayne Johnson’s Insult to Cody Rhodes and His Family Comes Back to Haunt Him
Image
We’re less than a month away from one of WWE’s biggest events ever. But tensions started to rise even before the final showdown. Recently, Amanda Huber, wife of the late Aew star Jon Huber (Brodie Lee), called out Dwayne Johnson for his insensitive comment on Cody Rhodes.

Dwayne Johnson (via his X account)

Huber, who works with Aew as a community outreach coordinator, criticized Johnson for talking about Rhodes’ age gap with his siblings when The Rock’s own kids have a 20-year difference.

Simone is Johnson’s eldest child, born in 2001 to his former wife, Dany Garcia. His youngest daughter, Tiana Gia Johnson, was born in 2018.

Sting’s Best Wrestling Matches of All Time: From Aew and WWE to WCW
Image
Aew Revolution 2024 was a hell of a show and it ended with the satisfying finale of Sting’s time in the ring. The final stretch of Sting’s career was a wonderful chance to set things right for the legendary wrestler, after the wrestling business had constantly let him down over the years. He was once the ace of WCW, but the incompetence and selfishness of others hurt his legacy in different ways at different promotions. But despite being in his 60s, his three years at Aew allowed him to go out on his own terms.

The Stinger is a beloved icon for a reason. While he did get wrapped up in such unfortunate things as the WCW mini-movies, the Shockmaster, the ill-fated Hulk Hogan match at Starrcade, and a really unfortunate PPV main event involving Jeff Hardy, Sting was still one of WCW’s great highlights and kicked a...

No group of wrestling brothers is more famous than the Von Erichs. This group of brothers once dominated Texas wrestling.

Terry Funk, Pro Wrestler and Stallone Movie Stuntman, Dies at 79
Pro wrestler Terry Funk has died, according to WWE and pro wrestler Mick Foley. Funk was 79 years old.

Along with wrestling, the highly respected performer worked in film, including multiple Sylvester Stallone projects as far back as 1978’s “Paradise Alley.” Funk also appeared in “Over the Top,” did stunts in “Rocky III” and choreographed the climactic fight in “Rocky V.”

Funk was also featured in the cult classic film “Road House” and Johnny Knoxville’s “The Ringer.” He also had TV roles on shows such as “Quantum Leap” and “Swamp Thing.”

Funk was best known in his later years for pioneering “hardcore” wrestling, which involves using weapons and sharp objects, such as barbed wire, to both simulate and cause actual damage in order to increase the drama in a match. This often involved copious amounts of bleeding. Funk was also infamous for wrestling multiple “retirement” matches before quickly coming back afterward.

WWE's Cody Rhodes Lobbies for Star Trek Role
Image
After headlining this year's WrestleMania, WWE Superstar Cody Rhodes is thinking about stepping over into acting with the hopes of making one dream role come true. Rhodes, the son of WWE Hall of Famer Dusty Rhodes, is currently one of the pro wrestling industry's most popular stars. He won the Royal Rumble match at the start of the year, granting him a main event title shot at WrestleMania against Roman Reigns. Ultimately, Rhodes came up short in the match, though many fans feel it's a matter of time before he eventually claims that gold.

But winning that championship gold is just one goal of Rhodes that he is soon looking to fulfill. The wrestler, whose nickname is "The American Nightmare," recently spoke with ScreenRant about Star Trek: Picard. Addressing how he wants to branch out into acting, Rhodes noted how he would be stoked to get any kind of a...

‘Aew Dark: Elevation – Episode 107’ Review
Image
Welcome back to another review of Aew Dark: Elevation, which features nine matches this week and plenty of Canadian talent. We’ve got regulars Paul Wight and Matt Menard on commentary as usual. So let’s get into the review!

Match #1: Skye Blue def. Tfa (Taryn from Accounting)

My Thoughts: This was a pretty decent and competitive opener for this week’s show and both women delivered throughout the match. Great to see Tfa get some exposure via Aew too.

My Score: 2.5 out of 5 Match #2: Jake Hager def. Adam Knight

My Thoughts: Adam Knight looked like he might give Jake Hager a run for his money, especially given how competitive the previous match was, but no. This was a squash of the highest order with Hager eventually hitting Knight with a Vader Bomb to get the win!

My Score: 1 out of 5 Match #3: Emi Sakura def. Zoe Sager...

‘Aew Dark: Elevation – Episode 105’ Review
Image
Welcome back to another review of Aew Dark: Elevation, which features eight matches this week. We’ve got regulars Paul Wight and Matt Menard on commentary as usual. So let’s get into the review!

Match #1: Nyla Rose and Marina Shafir def. Sandra Moone and J-Rod

My Thoughts: Well this was an interesting surprise. I expected a squash but no, Rose and Shafir let their opponents put some work in and this came off as more competitive than even the patented Aew “quasi-squash”. Great start to this week’s show!

My Score: 2.5 out of 5 Match #2: Brian Cage def. Rob McKnight

My Thoughts: Now This was a squash match! Everything Rob McKnight tried to do was totally no-sold by Cage, who eventually trapped McKnight in the King Kong Clutch for the win.

My Score: 1 out of 5 Match #3: Juice Robinson def. Titus Alexander

My Thoughts: Much like the first match on this show,...
