Biographie

Cast as U.S. Army Private Sager by Martin Sheen in "Cadence" along with Larry Fishburne, Charlie Sheen, and F. Murray Abraham is when he began to put together a number of short films as a writer-director which would lead to writing and directing his own feature films.

David mounted theatrical plays at the Stella Adler Theater there along with classmates, Mark Ruffalo, and Benicio Del Toro.

Traveling to Central America to war-torn Honduras and Managua Nicaragua, David lived with the poor and observed the political environment by embedding himself with the Witness of Peace Organization inside villages that had been attacked by Contra forces.

After retiring his Screen Actors Guild card to focus on writing and directing, David was asked to re-establish his union status and take on the role of Russel Ashton in the film "The Stand at Paxton County".

David played quarterback for the University of Oregon Ducks.
