It's always a question of search and conflict that makes good drama.

I can only speak as a director and a storyteller. You have the story to tell and you must tell it with as much honesty as you possibly can, that this in fact did happen. You can't say, "This only happened because we're making science-fiction". This is the story, fellows, so it has to be told to the best of our abilities. That has always been my attitude on every show I've done. Once you begin to edit the veracity of the reality or unreality, you're wrong. Then you're turning into a preacher instead of a director. I've always tried to do my best from that point of view.
