The trailer was unveiled on June 12 to mark actor Gopichand’s birthday. Conveying his wishes to Gopichand, Maruthi tweeted, “Making #PakkaCommercial gave me a dearest friend and brother. Happy birthday @YoursGopichand anna.#HBDMachoStarGopichand Enjoy the Trailer.” The trailer shows that Gopichand plays an advocate, who does not mind taking the side of lawbreakers for a handsome sum. Raashi Khanna joins as an assistant to Gopichand. Actor Sathyaraj has also been roped in for a significant role. He plays Gopichand's father who chooses to appear against his own son for the sake of justice. The trailer promises a fun legal drama.

Chennai, March 18: Upcoming Telugu comedy "Crazywala", a spoof on Arvind Kejriwal, is not a film on the Aam Aadmi Party (Aap) leader but an effort to encourage voting in the country, says its director Mohana Prasad.

Kejriwal will be impersonated by comedian M.S. Narayana in the movie.

"I admit we have made M.S. Narayana look like Kejriwal in the promotional posters, but our intention is not to make a film on the Aap leader. Through this film, we are attempting to encourage people to vote, choose their leaders and change their own fate," Prasad told Ians.

"We have only used Kejriwal's get-up. This was just to create.

Therefore, Trivikram ends up compromising on his potential and in turn gives us an aspirational film such as "Attarintiki Daaredhi" (Ad), which is shallow from the inside, but stylish on the outside. By doing so, Trivikram might add another commercial hit to his credit, but sells himself short.

Chennai, April 22: Akkineni Nagarjuna-starrer Telugu romantic-drama "Greeku Veerudu" has been passed with U/A-certificate by the Censor Board of Film Certification (Cbfc) of India. It is releasing worldwide May 3.

Confirming the same, a source from the film's unit told Ians: "The film has been passed with U/A-certificate with no cuts.

Featuring Nayanthara, Meera Chopra, K. Vishwanath, Brahmanadam, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Sarath Babu and M.S. Narayana, "Greeku Veerudu" is directed by Kondapalli Dasaradh Kumar.

Chennai, Feb 25: Known for singing hit title songs for Telugu films "Gabbar Singh" and "Jalsa", rapper Baba Sehgal has sung yet another song for upcoming Telugu action drama "Shadow".

"Sung the title song of 'Shadow' for the super hit team of Thaman and Meher Ramesh. Kudos to Thaman," Baba said in a post on his Twitter page. The film's music has been composed by S.S. Thaman.

"Shadow", directed by Meher Ramesh, features Venkatesh, Srikanth and Tapsee in the lead. It also stars Madhurima, M.S. Narayana, Naga Babu, Jayaprakash Reddy and Dharmavarapu Subramanyam.

Chennai, Nov 21: Popular Telugu comedian M.S. Narayana, known for his work in "Dookudu", "King" and "Ready", feels comedy is an art and everybody can't champion it.

"In my career spanning over two decades, I've never felt that comedy is a department everybody can excel in because it's an art and only a few are blessed with the talent to entertain. Several people have come and gone as comedians, while only a few managed to be successful," Narayana told Ians.

The 61?year?old feels comedy can't be forced upon someone.

"Very few have the talent to make others laugh without being laughed at. You can't just expect anyone to turn comedian.

Chennai, Nov 17: Telugu director C.S.R. Krishnan, who is awaiting the release of upcoming comedy?thriller "Bakara", feels there's a need for films that can make audience socially conscious.

"Most of the times, films are a reflection of the society we live in. But, sadly we resort to showing only what is entertaining and crowd?appealing, and refrain from showing reality. We need more films that will make us socially responsible," Krishnan told Ians.

Chennai, Nov 10: Upcoming Telugu action-romantic "Okkadine" will be laced with sentiment, says producer C.V. Reddy.

"Films should have an emotional connect with the audience besides ensuring entertainment. In order to have audience emotionally hooked, one should make a film high on sentiment, and my film definitely has that quality," Reddy told Ians.

"Okkadine" stars Nara Rohit and Nithya Menon in lead roles and is directed by Srinivas Raga. It also stars Naga Babu, Sai Kumar, Chandra Mohan, M.S. Narayana, Ali and Srinivasa Reddy.

'Pilla Zamindar' starts off well with some breezy comedy sequences and takes off in the middle of the first half. The first half is a racy entertainer which is enjoyable but in the second half the film treads in a totally different path with a lot of forced sentimental sequences.
