Along with Jerry Orbach, Jesse L. Martin, Fred Thompson and Leslie Hendrix, she is one of only five actors to play the same character (Dr. Elizabeth Olivet) in all of the first four New York City-based "Law & Order" series: New York - Police judiciaire (1990), New York - Unité spéciale (1999), New York - Section criminelle (2001) and New York, cour de justice (2005).

Graduated first in her high school class in Houston, Texas and with honors from Williams College.
