There have been multiple unexpected Rob Zombie / House of 1000 Corpses books published in recent months: The Official Rob Zombie Coloring Book, Grandpa Hugo’s Dirty Jokes, Z Is for Zombie: Learning to Spell with House of 1000 Corpses Friends. But now we know the release date for a book that we have been expecting for a while. Last year, Zombie announced that he was working on a book about the making of House of 1000 Corpses. Today, People has confirmed that his book, titled Rob Zombie’s House of 1000 Corpses: The Making of a Cult Classic will be published in September – and they also shared a look at some of the pages! The 20th anniversary of writer/director Rob Zombie’s feature directorial debut House of 1000 Corpses (watch it Here) came and went last year – but today, Zombie took to social media to announce that he’s celebrating the 21st anniversary of the film by working on a book about the making of it! Zombie also shared multiple behind-the-scenes images, and you can check those out at the bottom of this article.

Zombie wrote, “To celebrate the 21st anniversary of House of 1000 Corpses being released I thought I would give you a sneak peek at the House of 1000 Corpses book that I have been working on. An official YouTube channel dedicated to the classic sitcom The Munsters and the franchise it spawned was launched three years ago, and as the years have gone by a whole lot of clips from the 1964 – 1966 show have been added to that channel. Yesterday, we shared the news that the Netflix streaming service is publishing coloring books inspired by their shows Stranger Things, Squid Game, Bridgerton, and Castlevania. Back in February, we learned that Lionsgate is giving writer/director Rob Zombie‘s feature debut House of 1000 Corpses (watch it Here) a new Blu-ray release to celebrate the film’s 20th anniversary on April 11th. There will be a standard edition of the House of 1000 Corpses 20th anniversary Blu-ray and a steelbook edition that will be exclusive to Best Buy. Both editions will include a disc that’s full of new bonus features, but a New Director’s Commentary will only be accessible on digital platforms. This year marks the 20th anniversary of Rob Zombie‘s feature debut House of 1000 Corpses, and Lionsgate will be releasing a brand new Blu-ray next month.

The 20th anniversary Blu-ray set will be released on April 11, 2023, and you’ll be able to get a special SteelBook version of the release exclusively through Best Buy.

As we recently learned, the new release will also include a brand new Rob Zombie Director’s Commentary track that’ll be exclusive to Digital, and Zombie shares on Instagram that he’s recording the track today – 20 years after his original track for the film’s DVD release.

A couple days ago, writer/director Rob Zombie shared an image from the alternate ending to his feature directorial debut House of 1000 Corpses (watch it Here). An ending that would have shown Sid Haig’s character Captain Spaulding giving a ride to final girl Denise (Erin Daniels) in his Museum of Monsters and Madmen truck. In the film, Spaulding gave Denise a ride in a convertible – and Otis (Bill Moseley) was revealed to be in the backseat. In the deleted ending, Denise would’ve been dragged into the back of the truck by Spaulding’s pal Ravelli (Irwin Keyes). Zombie has now shared another image from the alternate ending that shows Haig and Daniels in the truck, before Ravelli emerges from the back.

Unfortunately, it’s not likely we’ll ever see footage of this alternate ending, because all of the cut scenes were lost while the movie was passed from studio to studio.

The screenplay for Rob Zombie’s feature directorial debut House of 1000 Corpses (watch it Here) can be found online, and is quite different from the film that made it to theatres in 2003. Not only was Grampa Hugo revealed to be Dr. Satan, but there are scenes in the script that were filmed and cut – and Zombie has no access to the footage, as it was lost while the movie was passed from studio to studio. Among the differences is an alternate ending… and Zombie took to Instagram to share a rare still from the film’s original ending! Next year will mark the 20th anniversary of Rob Zombie‘s debut feature House of 1000 Corpses, which infamously sat on a shelf for a few years before actually being released in 2003. Originally made for Universal, the film was ultimately released by Lionsgate, and it went through a handful of changes in the years between being made and being unleashed.

Unfortunately, none of the “Director’s Cut” footage that was excised from House of 1000 Corpses to get its “R” rating has ever been located, and as Rob Zombie explained to Bloody Disgusting back in 2019, it’s unlikely to ever be found. Zombie told us, “There’s nothing. I mean, I don’t know where anything is. I gotta be honest. Nothing’s ever been discovered.”

He added during that same conversation with Bd, “Because we bounced around so much and stuff. It’s amazing that they lose these things.

This morning brings about some sad news as we've learned Oscar-nominated actor Michael J. Pollard has passed away at the age of 80. The circumstances surrounding his passing have not yet been made clear. Rob Zombie, who directed the 2003 horror movie House of 1000 Corpses which featured Pollard in the role of Stucky, broke the news on Facebook with a touching message for the late actor. Here's what Zombie wrote about Pollard's passing on the post.

"We have lost another member of our House Of 1000 Corpses family. I woke up to the news that Michael J. Pollard had died. I have always loved his work and his truly unique on screen presence. He was one of the first actors I knew I had to work with as soon as I got my first film off the ground. He will be missed."

One day well look back and say for as many quality flicks that we saw 2015 was a damn dreadful year. Weve lost so much this year its just about unbelievable. Dysart Tom Towles Daniel von Bargen and Wes Craven are just a few of the amazing talents to pass this year. They were all special contributors to our precious genre and theyre all going to be dearly missed.

As the years go by and countless new horror projects hit the big and small screens, it becomes increasingly important to not forget the legends of the genre's past. Horror fans consistently do a wonderful job paying respect to the past while enjoying the present, but in the short film Titano, the late, great Irwin Keyes plays a former horror movie villain sadly forgotten... until the opportunity arises one night for his resurrection.

As many horror fans know, Irwin Keyes (House of 1000 Corpses, Intolerable Cruelty) passed away last month at the age of 63. American actor Irwin Keyes has died at the age of 63.

He was best known for his roles in The Jeffersons and The Flintstones movie.

He passed away on Wednesday (July 8). He had suffered from acromegaly, a pituitary gland disorder.

The actor also appeared in several horror movies, including House of 1,000 Corpses and Dahmer vs Gacy in 2009.

"It's with deep sympathy that I'm writing this post," his niece Rene Galarza said on Facebook. "Early this morning my family was informed that our beloved uncle, brother, teammate and friend, Irwin Keyes, has had his last curtain call.

"He is now an angel for us all and will be watching down. Our family wishes to thank all of you who have been a part of his life. He will be missed very much."

Keyes made his movie debut in 1979's The Warriors, and later had roles in Woody Allen's Stardust Memories, The Exterminator and both Flintstones movies.

It’s not often that you run across aspiring genre directors who are still in their teens so when we discovered a brand new Kickstarter campaign for Carver, an upcoming indie slasher from the filmmaking team of Ron Diprimio and his 13-year-old daughter Emily Diprimio, we immediately took notice.

In the campaign, the Diprimios’ describe Carver as, “a throwback 80’s style slasher that follows a group of teenagers who are haunted by a despicable act they committed on Halloween when they were younger.

Over the weekend, Dave Shelton — an award winning writer, cartoonist, and voice actor, with a varied resume that includes Everybody Loves Raymond, National Lampoon, Tweety And Sylvester and Against Type — and Tami Zorge hosted the world premiere of his pilot Professor Creepy’S Scream Party at Raleigh Studios in Hollywood.

The “Garage TV” pilot, which was shot in only one day and edited in one more, is a live action variety show that is billed as a retro mash up of sixties kids shows, horror hosts, and dance shows. Picture the Hilarious House Of Frankenstein meets Vampira meets American Bandstand, with a Vincent Price-esque mad scientist as host. How does that not pique one’s interest?

Though largely regarded as humorists, directors Joel and Ethan Coen have produced some of the finest crime movies ever committed to film. Blood Simple, Miller’s Crossing, and their adaptation of No Country for Old Men are straight-ahead crime movies enriched with the Coens’ visual style and lip-smacking dialogue. Even Fargo, though the thick Minnesota dialect draws huge laughs, couldn’t be more of a crime movie.

The Coens, though, have diverted from their crime path here and there, not that you’re going to hear me complaining. But lighter comedies like their remake of The Ladykillers or their more darkly comical A Serious Man hover around the crime genre like eyewitnesses. However, their current effort, which began shooting this past February, Inside Llewyn Davis, is an examination of the folk music scene in 1960s Greenwich Village. This subject matter itself would severely test my enthusiasm if it was anyone but the Coens making it.

Sometimes, death is a laughing matter. Here are ten death scenes in movies that are definitely more comic than tragic, even if the film themselves are of a more serious-minded sort. And yes, of course we've included the Sam Jackson vs. Shark (Shark wins) in "Deep Blue Sea."

Frankenstein General Hospital (1988):

Oh boy, this looks ridiculous. A forgotten straight-to-video comedy featuring a respectable cast of recognizable character actors including lovable lug Irwin Keyes, Mark Blankfield, Leslie Jordan and even Ben Stein. There's a part of me that wants to check this out, while another part of me screams "What the fuck is wrong with you?!".

Night of the Dribbler (1990):

Jesus Christ, where did this come from?! An absurd high school slasher flick/goofball comedy...

Freddy vs. Jason. King Kong vs. Godzilla. Alien vs. Predator. Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus. We've seen many famous fiends square off on film, but will any of those other great all-time match-ups compare to Dahmer vs. Gacy? The world will finally find out when the award-winning (yes, award-winning!) film hits Blu-ray and DVD shelves in May.

The serial killer smackdown produced and directed by Ford Austin from a script by Chris Watson and Andrew Rausch starring Austin as Jeffrey Dahmer and Randal Malone as John Wayne Gacy has already garnered "Outstanding Cast Performance" at the Action on Film International Film Festival in Pasadena, California, and was voted "Audience Choice Award" winner at the Bare Bones Independent Film Fest in Muskogee, Oklahoma.

Reactions were definitely mixed when a promo trailer surfaced for the horror/comedy known as Dahmer Vs. Gacy a couple of months ago, but if you live in or around Hollywood, CA, you can be among the first to see the whole thing when the film premieres at midnight at the Laemmle Sunset 5 on January 15th and 16th.

A bit more video content has come out of this year's Afm, this time for the horror/comedy known as Dahmer Vs. Gacy, which promises to leave blood on the walls and laughs in your belly!

Bloody mayhem stretches across the United States as they go on the ultimate killing spree. Trying to stop the maniacal madness is Ringo, a hick warrior being trained by God, using only a shotgun and a bottle of whiskey. In his road trip to hell, he must first fight off his own demons, not to mention an army of Japanese ninjas! It all leads up to the Ultimate Showdown!

Obviously playing for laughs, the showdown you probably never expected to see has arrived. Below you'll find the Afm trailer for Ford Austin's Dahmer Vs Gacy , in which 30 of the world's most notorious serial killers are cloned by the government. A secret government program is cloning infamous serial killers and genetically splicing their DNA into a super serial killer for undisclosed purposes. Ultra low budget indie genre movie mainstays Ford Austin and Randal Malone star as the resurrected Jeffrey Dahmer and John Wayne Gacy, respectively. Dahmer Vs. Gacy, also directed by Ford Austin, is slated to be the first of five underground Grindhouse-style films produced by Angry Baby Monkey Pictures. The film is currently in post-production and gearing up for select independent film festivals.

Ford Austin is the star of many films across genres and the director of close to two dozen films; now, Ford takes a pause from a busy shooting and post-production schedule to talk about "Dahmer vs. Gacy" a serial killer focused horror film that pits two of the most notorious murderers against rogue military scientists.
