A surprising theory connects two characters who supposedly have little to do with each other in Teen Wolf. Variety reports that the streaming service has submitted Teen Wolf: The Movie for Emmys consideration in the following categories: Outstanding Television Movie, Lead Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie (Tyler Posey), Directing (Russell Mulcahy), Writing, Prosthetic Makeup and Original Music and Lyrics (“Lemon” by Tyler Posey).

Since Posey was also a producer on the film, Variety notes that these submissions give him three chances to earn an Emmy nod.

Teen Wolf: The Movie picks up the story more than a decade after Teen Wolf’s original ending, but the movie would have been much better as a show. Teen Wolf: The Movie brings Scott McCall (Tyler Posey) and most of his pack back together to take on the Nogitsune (Aaron Hendry) once more. Out for revenge, the Nogitsune instigated Allison Argent’s (Crystal Reed) resurrection to tear the pack apart and kill Scott, only to be thwarted by the pack’s belief in one another. Teen Wolf: The Movie’s ending is both tragic and hopeful, as Scott and Allison get a second chance at love, and the next generation of the Hale family is set to take center stage.

Teen Wolf: The Movie packs a lot of action into its nearly two-and-a-half-hour runtime, and yet it doesn’t feel like enough.

Creator Jeff Davis is teasing a possible sequel to Teen Wolf: The Movie starring Derek's son, Eli. A continuation of the popular MTV series, Teen Wolf, the supernatural drama premiered on Paramount+ on January 26. It follows Scott McCall (Tyler Posey) as he travels back to Beacon Hills to assist Chris Argent (Jr Bourne) in carrying out a ritual that would seemingly allow Allison's (Crystal Reed) soul to cross over. However, complications arise when Allison gets brought back to life, along with the Nogitsune, who begins manipulating her. While there was excitement over seeing a number of characters return in Teen Wolf: The Movie, it was a surprise to learn that Derek Hale (Tyler Hoechlin) had a child, and that he played a significant role throughout.

Portrayed by Vince Mattis, Eli spends a majority of the Teen Wolf movie avigating his relationship with Derek and struggles with the idea of being a werewolf.

Paramount+ has spooked up two hits with debuts “Teen Wolf: The Movie” and “Wolf Pack,” both of which hail from MTV Entertainment Studios, creator Jeff Davis (who’s under a multi-year deal at the studio) and MGM.

The former — a film revival of the beloved 2011 young-adult supernatural series that reunites a majority of the cast, including stars Tyler Posey and Tyler Hoechlin — broke the streamer’s record for the most-watched original move in the first day of its debut.

The latter, which stars and is executive produced by Sarah Michelle Gellar, marked the platform’s most-viewed YA show since the “iCarly” reboot, making it the No. 2 YA series premiere overall in its first 24 hours.

Both releases have also won on social media engagement, with “Teen Wolf: The Movie” becoming Paramount+’s most successful social premiere at 4.97 million interactions.

Films like Teen Wolf: The Movie, have their day. In mine we had the original Teen Wolf with Michael J. Fox and I enjoyed it equally with all its obvious lackings. It works for its audience and knows how to please its viewers, having done so generation after generation in MTV and in its speciality MTV is a master with plots that are especially thought out for segments of people in their twenties and with just enough complexity to not stand apart.

Fans of Teen Wolf were given an almighty treat during Brazil's Comic Con Xperience (Ccxp) on Sunday.

Oh, and there was even a treat for potential fans of Wolf Pack, the new series from the Jeff Davis, the creator of Teen Wolf.

Both Teen Wolf and Wolf Pack are set to premiere Thursday, Jan. 26, 2023 exclusively on the service in the U.S. and Canada.

The film, written and produced by Jeff Davis, will premiere the following day on Friday, Jan. 27, 2023 on Paramount+ in the U.K. and Australia.

In Latin America and Brazil, the film will be available early next year. Premiere dates for other Paramount+ international markets will be announced at a later date.

With the trailer debuting at San Diego Comic-Con on Thursday, more details are starting to materialize.

TV Insider sat down with creator, Jeff Davis, and stars Tyler Posey and Tyler Hoechlin about the project.

Davis revealed that "the studio wanted it," speaking of the formal pickup to the outlet.

Posey, who plays Scott McCall, said that he "wouldn't stop bugging him [Davis] about it."

Davis also said that there was the option of him not writing the movie, but he wanted to.

“I’m like, ‘I’m writing this. Nobody else is writing this,'” he shared.

“That’s always fun to do, to see where are [the characters now] now and to create a story off of that.”

Paramount+ today revealed the official teaser trailer for Teen Wolf: The Movie during the film’s Hall H panel at San Diego Comic-Con.

The teaser trailer teases some big returns, but one that is sure to get the fans talking is the return of Allison Argent.

Allison died on Teen Wolf Season 3, but it sounds like there's a reason for her miraculous return from the dead.

"Allison, she's alive," we see Scott telling her father in an emotionally-charged scene.

Understandably, there will be plenty of questions surrounding how -- and why -- she's back.

Hopefully, the writers have some answers that work when telling such a tale.

The movie was written and executive produced by Jeff Davis.

The film will stream exclusively on Paramount+ in the U.S., Canada, U.K. and internationally, where the service is available.

Arden Cho has confirmed a report that she chose not to return for Teen Wolf: The Movie after learning that she was being offered considerably less money than her white co-stars.

During a recent interview with The Cut, the Korean American actress was asked about Deadline’s report that she was offered “half the per-episode salary proposed to her three counterparts,” to which she replied, “I think I was actually offered even less.”

When the Teen Wolf movie cast was announced earlier this year, it featured several cast members who left the series before its series finale.

Arden Cho was one of those names.

If you watch Teen Wolf online, you know Cho played Kira Yukimura from 2014 to 16, with the character not getting an on-screen goodbye.

As a result, there was hope that Cho would join her fellow co-stars for the Paramount+ movie.

Cho reportedly refused to join the cast after being offered half the salary of her returning female co-stars.

In a new interview with The Cut, Cho said that the salary she was offered was actually less than what was reported.

"I think I was actually offered even less," the star explained.

Paramount+ has locked in another original Teen Wolf cast member for its forthcoming movie.

The streaming service announced Friday that Tyler Hoechlin will return as Derek Hale for the movie project.

Hoechlin joins a cast that includes Tyler Posey, Holland Roden, Shelley Hennig, Crystal Reed, Orny Adams, Linden Ashby, Jr Bourne, Colton Haynes, Ryan Kelley, and Melissa Ponzio.

Also on board are Ian Bohen, Vince Mattis, Nobi Nakanishi, Khylin Rhambo, Amy Workman, and Dylan Sprayberry.

Produced by MTV Entertainment Studios and MGM’s Orion Television, Hoechlin, alongside Tyler Posey, will also serve as a producer on the film.

Paramount+ dropped a flurry of casting announcements for its in-production Teen Wolf Movie on Friday afternoon.

Of the announcements, the biggest shocker is that Derek Hale's son, Eli Hale, will be a part of the drama.

Vince Mattos has landed the role, but there's still no confirmation on whether Tyler Hoechlin will return.

Speaking of the Hale family, Ian Bohen has closed a deal to return as Peter Hale.

Bohen is currently starring opposite Hoechlin on Superman & Lois, and that might be the closest thing to a reunion between the two stars we'll be getting.

Khylin Rhambo is also returning as Mason Hewitt, while new cast members include Amy Lin Workman as Hikari Zhang and Nobi Nakanishi as Deputy Ishida.
